Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion, Georges St-Pierre recently appeared on The MMA Hour show for a chat with Ariel Helwani. The name Anderson Silva, a man MMA fans wished to see ‘Rush’ fight, came up. The former UFC middleweight champion put on a show against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
St-Pierre was in awe of ‘The Spider’. In fact, GSP believes despite Silva’s MA career full of accolades and stellar performances, it was the best Silva has ever looked in a fight. “Bro, it was one of his best performance in life. I would say amongst the rest of his elite performance that he did an MMA to me the way he beat Cesar Chavez. It was incredible,” said St-Pierre.

The Canadian superstar also added that he didn’t expect to Silva be that good. He mentioned that because of Chavez’s world championship-caliber experience in the sport of boxing; he believed he would dominate the legendary Brazilian MMA star.
“Man. He took everybody by surprise. It was very inspiring to see him perform that way. It was very, very inspiring. And what a great ending for Anderson Silva right now. You know what I mean? I hope if he comes back into these kinds of fight,” St-Pierre added.
“It will be something worth that not only about money, but in terms of legacy, something that it will make him shine make him look good, because he, man, you check his last two performances against Uriah Hall. It was kind of disappointing, it was kind of sad. But what a way to come back. What a way to get back on top man, that was amazing,” he concluded.
