Lightweight boxing superstar Gervonta Davis is back to winning ways after an emphatic win over Frank Martin. Davis was out of action for 14 months but showed no signs of slowing down in his fight. With his latest victory, ‘Tank’ has now extended his career record to 30-0 (28 KOs). Davis was the center of attraction in the latest JRE Fight Companion episode as the guests Bryan Callen, Brendan Schaub, and Brian Simpson. reflected on his knockout ability, with Schaub even calling the boxer the greatest knockout artist. However, what surprised Joe Rogan the most was his ability to generate power, despite being a fighter of short stature.

Joe Rogan and his guests took out time to analyze the last fight of Gervonta Davis, which he won by yet another knockout. At 29, Davis has dismantled most of his opponents inside the ring and is still undefeated in his journey. While looking at his fight, most of the guests pointed out the technique used by him to knock out his opportunity. However, Rogan was surprised at the power generated by a man of his size. Speaking on the ‘JRE Fight Companion’, the 56-year-old claimed that ‘Tank’ doesn’t look like a huge boxer, but still knocks people out. He said, “It’s crazy that nothing special about the way he looks like physically”.

Despite competing at the lightweight division, Davis is considered by many as the best puncher in the sport. While technique does play a huge role in the sport, power makes things easier. Rogan further made his point, saying, “He doesn’t look like a power puncher. He just looks like a regular guy. But his f..ng power is extraordinary. “

Talking about technique, the JRE host is also a huge fan of Ryan Garcia and his boxing skills. The 56-year-old rates Garcia very highly and feels he is one of the best in the sport at the moment. Though he lost his last clash against ‘Tank’, Rogan feels he can win the fight on one condition. A few weeks back, the UFC commentator invited Max Holloway for a conversation on his JRE MMA Show, where he pointed out the fight he wants to see next in boxing.

Joe Rogan is excited to see Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis’ next clash but with one clause

Joe Rogan, while speaking to Max Holloway, seemed super excited to see Ryan Garcia in action. Despite ‘King Ry’ losing his fight to ‘Tank’, Rogan feels he can still beat him. However, there is only one condition for Garcia to defeat Davis. In their last fight, Davis had a rehydration clause, which made the fight a bit one-sided. According to the clause, Garcia can only rehydrate up to 10 lbs after weighing in. Rogan said, “I would love to see Ryan Garcia, the one that we saw fully hydrated against Devin Haney, against Gervonta.”

While speaking to Holloway, Rogan pointed out that their next fight would be a treat for the fans. Davis is fresh off a victory in his last fight. However, Garcia is struggling with issues outside the ring. He tested positive for a banned substance and has been slapped with a year ban. Both the fighters have had a very different journey in their career so far. However, it will now be interesting to see whether they face each other next in their career.
