The boxing bout would be the first fight between the pair after Masvidal and Diaz faced each other inside the Octagon and fought for the BMF title at UFC 244 in 2019. While the anticipation for the fight was palpable, the fans did not expect it to begin a month earlier. It all started when an annoyed Diaz decided to leave the premises early. However, the organizers wanted him to face off with ‘Gamebred’. But the duo exchanged a few words on the stage and the fire was lit.

One of the Stockton native’s teammates threw a fist aimed at the former BMF title holder. This was replied to with another punch from Jorge Capitello, one of Masvidal’s boxing coaches. Within moments chaos erupted with fists flying everywhere and security rushing in to extinguish the fight.

Previously, the visuals of the brawl showed Masvidal holding the boy who hit his coach by the hair, while fending himself off flying punches. But now, another visual has emerged that shows the former UFC BMF getting slammed by Diaz’s teammates after he tried to exact revenge for his coach. The man who had to face Masvidal’s wrath was left with bruises, but the fighter himself was left unscathed.

Even Dillon Danis has shared a picture on X that shows Masvidal getting slapped. The Bellator contender wrote, “Streed Judas” in the caption.

Famous for handling tough situations, he was once asked how he would have handled the altercation between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. But all that came out of the security personnel’s mouth was loyalty to Mayweather. He claimed that the boxer was his family, and if anyone came at Mayweather, they would have to face Sadeghi first.
