Francis Ngannou has been under the radar of Deontay Wilder, following his entry into the PFL. Previously, the former UFC heavyweight champion declared that the discussions for a probable fight against the ‘Bronze Bomber’ were in progress. Wilder also added fuel to the talks, saying that he would first fight a boxing bout against Ngannou, and then fight him inside an MMA cage.

Although the two fighters have confirmed a two-fight deal, the former UFC contender, Michael Bisping can’t seem to accept that the MMA fight would ever happen. The commentator seemed skeptical since Wilder wanted to fight the boxing bout against ‘The Predator’ first. He simply claimed that the WBC heavyweight contender would not enter the MMA cage ever.

Wilder recently made an appearance at the PFL 4 and made claims that he had signed a two-fight deal with the former UFC fighter. While the combat sports world expressed its delight with the announcement, Bisping seemingly had a difference of opinion.

In a recent episode of his talk show on YouTube, the former UFC fighter addressed the fact that Wilder was indeed present at the PFL arena. He acknowledged the boxer trying on a PFL glove, as well. However, he believed that Wilder and Ngannou would fight only in the squared ring. The MMA fight was not going to happen.

Bisping said, “He was there in attendance. He tried on the PFL glove, you know, and he said yeah, I fancy a bit of this. And he said he would be willing to fight Francis Ngannou, first of all in a boxing fight and then he would come over to mixed martial arts and fight Francis Ngannou in mixed martial arts. But he’s gonna do the boxing fight first. That’s because the MMA fight is never gonna happen. There is no way in this world Deontay Wilder is gonna do that.“

Despite Bisping’s remarks, the boxer had outlined the fact that discussions over a fight against Ngannou were happening.
