Jake Paul might just be the most hated man in combat sports history. ‘The Problem Child’ has built his boxing career on fighting undersized MMA fighters, carefully picking opponents who pose minimal risk. The only legitimate boxer he’s ever faced? A 58-year-old Mike Tyson. But the bummer is that he looked every bit his age when they clashed last year. And while he’s public enemy number one in the fight world, his older brother, Logan Paul, isn’t far behind—mostly by association.

So when Jake dropped a fight poster last month featuring himself and Logan, with the cryptic caption, “The moment you’ve waited a decade for… March 27th on @StreamOnMax,” fans thought the long-rumored sibling showdown was finally happening. But, of course, it was all a lie. The brothers later admitted in a live stream that the poster was nothing more than a publicity stunt to promote their upcoming reality show, Paul American, premiering on March 27 on Max.

That hasn’t stopped them from milking the fake fight for all it’s worth. A few weeks ago, Jake posted a video of him and Logan squaring off shirtless in the gym, even getting into a staged altercation. “We’re fighting Thursday, March 27th on our reality show @paulamericanmax streaming on Max @streamonmax THINGS GET WILD,” he wrote in the caption.

But UFC legend Nate Diaz—one of Jake’s former opponents—wasn’t about to let the Paul brothers deceive anyone. Wasting no time, Stockton’s favorite son took to Instagram to call out their antics, posting the video alongside a blunt message: “2 pun tangs cappin 🧢.”

Diaz, of course, faced Jake in the boxing ring in 2023, ultimately losing a twelve-round unanimous decision to the former Disney star. But if there’s one thing he won’t lose to Jake at, it’s calling them out for their stunts.

And while that fight may be old history at this point, it seems the former UFC star’s animosity towards Jake is alive and well. And while some may be disappointed to learn that Jake is not, in fact, fighting Logan, the celebrity boxer may be on his way to fighting another boxing legend.

Jake Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather in the offing?

Jake Paul was agonizingly close to finalizing a fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez who is perhaps the biggest boxing superstar in the world. Moreover, the Mexican is the one fighter that Jake has wanted to box against since he started his celebrity career. But at the eleventh hour, Alvarez blindsided ‘The Problem Child’ and signed a four-fight deal with the Saudis. Losing the biggest opportunity of his life sent Jake into a tizzy, and many fans hoped this would mean that Paul’s career would come to a dead end since no one with any name and star power would fight him.

What’s your perspective on:

Could Jake Paul actually stand a chance against Floyd Mayweather, or is it all just talk?

However, it seems Jake cannot stop failing upwards. Now the Cleveland native is feuding with one of the greatest of all time. None other than Floyd Mayweather. The whole thing started after ‘Money’ was asked recently on ‘The Tonight Show’ if he would fight Jake. This is when the undefeated former multiple-division champ had a brief and dismissive answer. “Easy. Too easy. At 48, too easy,” Mayweather declared confidently.

Paul, of course, jumped on this. ‘The Problem Child’ took to social media and heaped insults on ‘Money’, taking a hilarious shot at the former champ for getting a black eye in a fight with a YouTuber back in 2022. “You bum. Deji gave you a black eye in an event that had 4,000 people in it. Deji hahahah. I would knock you out in 2 rounds and you can’t sniff Mike Tyson’s toe,” he wrote on X
