‘Gamebred’ was upset when he spoke to the reporters during the post-fight press conference. According to the 39-year-old, he landed more hard punches than his opponent, which might have helped him win the fight. However, at the end of the day, the judges felt the Stockton Native did more to win the fight.  Masvidal was quick to comment on the decision and said, “I’m not someone that actually um does the professional scoring but I thought it was a pretty close fight felt the judges might have been a little bit off on the scorecard but congratulations Diaz.” Diaz entered the fight as an underdog but surprised everyone with his high-level boxing.
