Nate Diaz found himself in an unwanted situation after he claimed that the Fanmio CEO allegedly breached his contract in the fight against Jorge Masvidal. That prompted the Stockton native to file a $9 million lawsuit, and in the midst of those legal problems, details on the ticket sales of his boxing match have come to the fore and it doesn’t look too good.
Nate Diaz was promised $10 million to fight Jorge Masvidal, and as he claims, it was a mentioned clause in his contract with Fanmio’s Founder-CEO, Solomon Engel. But he received only $1 million from the Fanmio boss who allegedly withheld the former UFC star’s money to cover his losses. As per new reports, there’s evidence that Engel did lose a lot of money purely due to a lack of ticket sales.

As we wait for Nate Diaz’s lawsuit’s outcome, these ticket sales statistics have shown a dip from the ticket sales of his last boxing match against Jake Paul. Reports claim that the fight made over a $3.1 million gate. Does this mean the excitement to watch the Stockton native fight is dying down among fans? It remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, some other details have also come to the fore when it comes to Nate Diaz’s boxing match against Jorge Masvidal from Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer. He claims that the rematch did way worse than a show from a wrestling promotion.

Diaz’s boxing match was “horrible”, claims pro wrestling insider
According to Dave Meltzer, the Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing match was a bust, and by significant proportions. In the pay-per-view event, the pro wrestling insider said, “It did horrible on PPV, it did TNA numbers.” TNA or Total Nonstop Wrestling isn’t the biggest wrestling promotion out there. In fact, it has registered some of the lowest PPV buys in its events, much lower than the top wrestling promotions.
With the PPV card having Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal as headliners, Dave Meltzer did not think the event would bomb the way it did. But the only logical conclusion he made after seeing the numbers is that there should be no more crossover boxing matches. ” I knew it would not do well, but I was absolutely stunned how poorly it did. Nobody bought the fight. People are sick of seeing MMA fighters do [boxing],” Meltzer added.
