In a new tweet, Diaz wrote, “July 30th Would be a nice to departure date”.

In a previous tweet, the Stockton slugger wrote asking the UFC to either give him a fight in July or August or release him. He also shared a video of Jake Paul knocking out Tyron Woodley in their boxing match.

Thus, it looks like the longtime UFC star wants to venture into boxing and might face Paul as soon as his commitments with the UFC come to an end.

In fact, UFC President Dana White even commented on Nate Diaz wanting to face Paul in the ring. White thinks it makes sense for Diaz to face Paul. But, he expects the UFC star to complete his contract with the promotion.

Nate Diaz: Can he box?

Both the Diaz brothers are decorated grapplers. The younger Diaz has a 2nd-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and handed Conor McGregor his first submission loss in the UFC. So there is no doubt about his ground skills.

Similarly, he has worked hard on his boxing. In fact, he has also trained with Richard Perez, one of the best boxing coaches in the game. Hence, his striking skills are on point, too.
