UFC star Conor McGregor can be a polarizing figure. While his fans are excited to see him come back to the Octagon, many aren’t that thrilled. The fighter, who had been recovering from a broken leg at UFC 264, regularly updates fans on his training. In a new video, the Irish fighter was seen practicing boxing. Fans saw him throwing punches at a punching bag, and many criticized him.

One person reacted to the post on McGregor’s Facebook page and commented, “That’s pry the worst I’ve seen out of anyone.”
Another person suggested McGregor observe legendary boxer, Mike Tyson. They wrote, “Zero head movement!! Get a watch of Mike Tyson, like now in his 50s!…..”
A social media user wrote, “Damn man, those punches are soft.”

“My grandmother could knock you out with her stick of rhubarb you that slow,” wrote another person.
A fan felt ‘The Notorious‘ lost his originality. They wrote, “You’ve lost your original soul that made you.”

McGregor has spoken about his love for boxing. Hence, many wondered if he would return to the boxing ring or the Octagon. However, UFC President Dana White had confirmed the fighter would be back to the UFC, and a rematch with Floyd Mayweather would not happen.
Referring to White’s comments, a fan wrote, “Daddy Dana already said you won’t fight Mayweather before stepping back into the octagon.”
What’s ahead for UFC star Conor McGregor?
While ‘Mystic Mac’ received many negative comments, several fans also had positive aspects to point out. They were excited to see the former champ-champ train again.

There isn’t much clarity about McGregor’s return to the UFC. White expects the fighter to return by the end of 2022 or early next year.

Meanwhile, as the 22-6 record holder seems to be interested in the welterweight title, he previously spoke about fighting Kamaru Usman. Recently, he has also been feuding with Jorge Masvidal. The two have gone back and forth on social media.
