There are a lot of noted celebrities from other professions who are attracted to the sport of MMA. Right from the likes of the noted rapper ’50 cent’ to the famed heavy metal band Motley Crue’s lead vocalist, ‘Tomy Lee’, the world of combat sports and MMA has always had some of the biggest names of the music industry as their followers. But some even turn their love for combat sports into business ventures. The noted rapper, Wiz Khalifa, took his love for MMA to a different height and became a stakeholder in the noted MMA promotion, The Professional Fighters’ League.

It may be agreed that Paul had his eyes on getting into MMA. The reason behind him calling out retired MMA fighters to the boxing ring and beating them can now be somewhere understood.
Paul also had a history of feuding with the UFC president, Dana White.
It reduced his chances of getting into the UFC and finally, Paul chose the PFL.
Khalifa had been vocal about signing in Paul previously as well
In a 2022 interview with TMZ Sports, The ‘Reefer Party rapper’ vocalized his wish of signing in Paul to the PFL. Khalifa gave a “hell yeah” when he was asked by the TMZ reporter whether the PFL would be interested to have Paul as a fighter or not.
