Khabib Nurmagomedov is confident about Islam Makhachev defeating Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294
During the recent ‘Countdown’ video posted by the UFC on their YouTube channel, ‘The Eagle’ sat down with his protégé to review the first flight against Alexander Volkanovski. While Joe Rogan stated that Volkanovski was the real winner of the fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov had other opinions. He stated that Islam Makhachev clearly won most of the rounds.
“First round, second round, and fourth round, for sure [Makhachev won],” said Nurmagomedov. He then added, “It was three-two or four-one, one hundred percent Islam defend his title.” He clearly believes that Islam Makhachev was the deserving winner at UFC 284.
Islam Makhachev had the opportunity to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov in Abu Dhabi as he prepares for UFC 294. However, ‘The Eagle’ will not be in his corner. But the Hall of Famer is confident that his protégé will silence his doubters and defeat Alexander Volkanovski this weekend.
Dillon Danis wants to fight in the UFC
Conor McGregor‘s friend and teammate Dillon Danis had a lackluster showdown at Misfits X DAZN: The Prime Card. Despite all the trolling on social media, he could not finish Logan Paul. Moreover, he did not even land any punches and instead tried to grapple with ‘The Maverick’, which led to Danis getting disqualified. Now that he’s done with boxing, ‘El Jefe’ has plans to return to MMA and fight in the UFC.
