While Joe Rogan stated that Volkanovski was the real winner of the fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov had other opinions. He stated that Islam Makhachev clearly won most of the rounds.

“First round, second round, and fourth round, for sure [Makhachev won],” said Nurmagomedov. He then added, “It was three-two or four-one, one hundred percent Islam defend his title.” He clearly believes that Islam Makhachev was the deserving winner at UFC 284.

Moreover, he did not even land any punches and instead tried to grapple with ‘The Maverick’, which led to Danis getting disqualified. Now that he’s done with boxing, ‘El Jefe’ has plans to return to MMA and fight in the UFC.

Dillon Danis took to Twitter (X) and announced that he is interested in moving to Dana White‘s promotion. However, he is still a member of the Bellator roster.
