During the recent episode of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’, Joe Rogan weighed in on Colby Covington’s fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 296. While he praised ‘Rocky’ for being the incredible fighter that he is, the JRE host believes that ‘Chaos’ has the tools to dethrone the champion in the upcoming UFC pay–per–view.

“If you wanted to pick someone who’d have a really good shot at Leon, it would be someone who’s an elite grappler, who has an incredible gas tank [and] who can push at ferocious pace. That’s Colby,” said Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan also mentioned that Colby Covington was the only fighter who dominated everyone except Kamaru Usman. With that in mind, he believes that ‘Chaos’s grappling skills and pace could come in handy against Leon Edwards. It remains to be seen how that fight pans out on December 15.

Khusein Askhabov gets cleared of alleged accusations

Russian featherweight fighter Khusein Askhabov was recently arrested in Thailand along with his brother. The arrest was related to allegations of kidnapping, torture, and robbery. Furthermore, these allegations and the arrest led to the cancellation of his scheduled fight against Daniel Pineda at UFC Vegas 80. But now, Askhabov has been released.

Khusein Askhabov and his brother were claimed to have been involved in a house invasion and robbery by a victim. But recent reports from ‘REDFURY MMA’ revealed that legal authorities found no evidence of them being connected to the incident after a thorough investigation. This led to them getting cleared of all charges.
