Diaz, although struggled to find his footing in the initial rounds, mustered up his strength and turned it into a dogfight at the end. Paul, who was seen landing most of the shots throughout the match, applauded the former UFC fighter’s grit and called him a ‘warrior’ in the post-fight press conference.

Although a lot of people were under the impression that Nate Diaz would be ‘put to sleep early’, Diaz powered through. He was knocked down by a massive left from Paul but immediately got back up and came back swinging. At one point in the fight, Diaz put Jake Paul in a guillotine, and the referee had to intervene and separate the two.

In the end, Paul took the win by unanimous decision (97-92, 98-91, and 98-91 in favor of Jake Paul).

Cory Sandhagen ‘grounds’ Rob Font at UFC Nashville with a clean sweep

UFC bantamweight fighters Cory Sandhagen and Rob Font headlined UFC Nashville on 5 August. The fight was pretty one-sided throughout. Sandhagen took advantage of his ground game and ensured that Font found himself with his back to the mat for the majority of the match.

This tactic worked well in his favor. While the match had more grappling and wrestling and not that many exchanges on foot, Sandhagen’s strategy earned him his 3rd consecutive win, making him one of the top contenders in the division.

While the fight was coming to an end, Sandhagen tried to end it with a choke but failed to follow through. In the end, the judges scored the fight 50-45, 50-45, 50-45 in favor of Cory Sandhagen.

Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz might have lost his boxing bout with Jake Paul, but he walked away with more than Paul’s admiration that night. According to sources, Jake Paul, who was quite impressed with the fight that Diaz had in him after all the punishment that he endured throughout the fight, offered Nate Diaz another fight. But this time, the rules will be in Diaz’s favor.

Since it was a boxing Bout, Diaz was restricted to an extent. But Jake Paul has offered Nate Diaz a contract for an MMA fight. Not just that, the standing contract offer is for a purse of $10 million. Sources say that Nate Diaz has accepted the lucrative offer but has put forth a condition of his own.

After Nate Diaz left UFC, he started his promotion company called Real Fight, Inc. According to the latest sources, Diaz has agreed to the fight on the pre-condition that Real Fight, Inc. shall also be promoting the fight, alongside PFL.
