The MMA world is buzzing for the return of Conor McGregor after the Irishman announced his return against Michael Chandler for June 2023. Meanwhile, ‘Iron’ had a few things to say about the former double champion’s future in MMA. Chandler believes that Conor McGregor could choose to retire after their fight during International Fight Week.

“I think I’ll be the last person [to fight Conor McGregor],” Michael Chandler told Brett Okamoto of ESPN. “I think I dominate him in a fashion that, it’s almost as if he can keep trying to come back, but he will have lost the fan’s interest so much more after I do what I’m gonna do to him on June 29th.”

Although Michael Chandler believes that he could retire Conor McGregor, the Irishman already has a list of fighters he wants to compete against. He once mentioned wanting to fight Justin Gaethje for the BMF title and a trilogy bout against Nate Diaz. It remains to be seen what the path for McGregor will be after his fight against Chandler.

Francis Ngannou spoils Dana White’s prediction and gets a second boxing match

When Francis Ngannou jumped ship to boxing, Dana White wasn’t too sure about his future in that sport. However, ‘The Predator’ proved Dana White wrong after putting on an amazing performance against Tyson Fury. Now, Ngannou has proved White wrong once again after announcing his second boxing match against Anthony Joshua. The pair will fight on Mar 9 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya took notice of that and was impressed with MMA fighters trying to go toe-to-toe against the boxing elites. He even took a jibe at Dana White, who claimed that MMA fighters don’t make money in boxing while urging more of them to jump ship to compete in the squared circle to earn huge paychecks.

The interim heavyweight champion recently poured out his frustrations with the UFC. He mentioned how being the number one contender in the heavyweight rankings still isn’t enough for him to secure a fight against Jon Jones. Instead, Aspinall was livid with the fact that Stipe Miocic, who had not fought for a while now, was getting that shot. The former 2-time champion caught hold of these statements and issued a response in return.
