The boxing match will have some modified rules, including eight two-minute rounds, where both fighters will wear 14-ounce gloves. Standard boxing matches often include three-minute rounds, and fighters wear 10-ounce gloves, and that’s where the UFC CEO chimed in.

Dana White claimed that even though Mike Tyson wants his fight to go down in the official books, the Texas Commission doesn’t see the boxing match like that. They want it to be an exhibition match. “I think Tyson wants it to be a real fight. I think the other side [Texas Boxing Commission] wants it to be an exhibition,” said Dana White. But is there an ounce of truth to it? We will have to wait and see what type of fight it ends up getting labeled as in the weeks to come.
