Get ready for another exciting edition of the daily roundup comprising some of the most significant developments in the MMA world over the last 24 hours! We will start today’s compilation with Colby Covington, who laid bare the only condition for him to consider fighting Ian Garry. Then we will shift our attention to Conor McGregor, who shared a message with his fans and followers on social media after announcing his stake in BKFC ownership. Finally, we will sum up this roundup with Demetrious Johnson achieving yet another milestone in his career.

Colby Covington has a stipulation for Ian Garry

Over the past few months, undefeated UFC star Ian Garry has made it clear that he wants to fight former interim champion Colby Covington. Those callouts are now louder especially since the Conor McGregor-led UFC 303 is at hand. But there is a catch. Covington is waiting for Garry to accept one condition for him, to even consider giving him a chance to fight him. ‘Chaos’ recently shed some light on that situation during a podcast appearance.

“This kid’s been calling me out. This kid Ian Garry. He’s a nobody… I gave him some stipulations. I said, ‘Hey man, if you wanna fight me you have to show me you’re serious about business,’ because when I do business, I’m serious about it,” Colby Covington said on his appearance on the ‘Twins Pod‘. The former interim champion also took a shot at Ian Garry, pointing out how he pulled out of his scheduled UFC 296 fight. On the flip side, Covington has never said yes to a fight to later withdraw from it.

“I show up to every fight, never pulled out of one fight. I’ve been injured, I’ve been sick… but I always show up and do my business,” ‘Chaos’ added. We can expect an entertaining build-up to the fight between Ian Garry and Colby Covington if Dana White and the matchmakers become convinced that this is a fight to make. Now, we shall wait to see how the Irishman responds to Covington’s stipulation in the weeks to come since UFC 303 is not that far away.

Conor McGregor has a message after becoming an owner of BKFC

Conor McGregor recently announced his becoming a part-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. The fact that he’s now a part of his promotion is cause for celebration for founder and president David Feldman who seemed excited about the future of BKFC. The 35-year-old UFC megastar caught everybody off guard with this one, especially because he came face-to-face with the face of BKFC, Mike Perry, last year. When that went down, it seemed like McGregor could be looking to join the bare-knuckle outfit after his UFC stint comes to an end.

Just hours after making that monumental announcement, Conor McGregor shared a story on his Instagram account. He posted a video montage of some eye-catching highlights across various BKFC fights. He captioned it: “Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship! A Bad Man Game,” expressing his excitement about the possible matchups he could compete in now on his own promotion. We cannot discount the possibility that we may get to see the fights that ‘The Notorious’ has been talking about for months, which includes having the chance to have a crack at Nate Diaz for a third time.
