The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has just revealed its plans for a $25 million prize tournament. Why are they organizing it? To attract the top fighters from around the world. BKFC President David Feldman had earlier teased the massive plan on MMA Today with Din Thomas and Alan Jouban, and now it has been made official in the latest BKFC press conference.
According to the founder of the promotion, the tournament will have qualifiers where fighters will fight to make the tournament. To make things more exciting, the qualifying rounds will be held on five continents, and the promotion is in talks with a ‘huge streaming platform’ for the broadcasting rights.
While it is unsure when the tournament will begin, what is known so far is that it lasts over 9-12 months. Also, the talent pool for the tournament will not be restricted to the current BKFC roster.

Feldman said, “We’re going to do tryouts. I think we’re going to grab, like, a thousand people. We’re going to narrow it down to 24, and then we’re going to get rid of 16, and we’re going to have eight that are left standing, and that’s going to be the guys that are going to fight for the real money. Everybody else is going to get paid along the way, but they’re going to fight for the real prize.”
Fighters react to Usyk defeating Tyson Fury
Oleksandr Usyk did it again. He beat Tyson Fury again and cleared up doubts about his superiority in boxing heavyweights. The WBC, WBO, and WBA champion was able to convince the three judges of the fight, who gave him an identical 116-112 in the final scores this Saturday in the fight held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Irish MMA star Conor McGregor didn’t want to be left out of what was the big event of the weekend.
Taking to his X account, the Irishman was all praise for the fight as he wrote, “Tremendous fight! Both men EXCEPTIONAL BOXERS! Truly. Let the talk about usyk playing up to the right hand body shot end now. He was as tough as he was skilled tonight! What a fight! Tyson Fury is some man. Anyone else against that version of Tyson Fury gets smoked. Very close fight. So enjoyable! Thank you both Gentlemen and teams. Thank you Saudi Arabia!”

‘The Notorious’ wasn’t the only fighter who praised Usyk for the bout. In a subtle one-word compliment, Anthony Joshua showed respect to the Ukrainian by uploading an emoji of the Ukrainian flag with the word ‘Respect’ written right below it. Usyk imposed his will throughout the 12 rounds that the fight lasted. His speed and intelligence ensured that Fury could not overcome the adversity he faced. In this way, the Ukrainian improved his record to 23-0 and 14 KOs, while Fury left it with 34-2 and 24 KOs.
Jon Jones reveals a terrifying past encounter with a prison inmate
Jon Jones has had several run-ins with the law, and it is no secret by now. But while many may believe that most of these incidents took place after he became a UFC fighter, that would be far from the truth. ‘Bones’ has often found himself on the wrong side of the law since his late teenage years. In fact, he even had to face prison time for three months after a vicious fight with his friend that could’ve ended with the latter being left for dead.
While going to prison is scary enough, ‘Bones’ got the true scare of his life after one of his inmates challenged him to a fight. Revealing the story on YouTuber-Day Trader Alax Gonzalez’ channel, the UFC heavyweight champion said that the fight did not scare him as much as the words about what his opponent would do to him if he did not win it.

The 37-year-old fighter narrated the words his inmate said to him, “If I knock you out, I’m gonna drag your leg over to a wall. I’ll put your leg up against the wall, and I’ll stomp your kneecaps out.” Revealing what he felt at that moment, the UFC fighter added, “I was shook bro. I was shook. I was sitting there with a straight face, like I wasn’t scared. But deep down inside, bro, I was terrified.” Well, UFC fans would be glad that it was one fight the UFC heavyweight did not accept.

The boxing and MMA world was excited to witness the boxing match between Tommy Fury and Darren Till set for January 18th in the coming year. However, Fury decided to pull out of the fight earlier this month, leaving fans disappointed. According to the boxer, he was concerned that the former UFC fighter might not stick to the rules and hit some illegal strikes during the bout. After all, Till had claimed that he would be kicking the lights out of his opponent if he felt like he would be losing the match on the scorecards. This became a cause of concern for the Manchester boxer, who revealed in an interview with The Stomping Ground that the former UFC fighter was in touch with betting companies to discuss his actions that will take place during and after the fight.
He said, “I was going to let it go at the press conference. I wasn’t really interested. But then my manager rang me a few days afterwards, and he’s like, ‘This fella’s talking to betting companies about if he’s losing the fight, he’s gonna do this, and if he’s losing the fight, he’s gonna do that.’ I then saw his first fight; I hadn’t watched it at the time, and that ended in some big brawl, and I thought to myself, ‘What am I doing?” Now that is a major allegation. With the fight canceled, it would be interesting to see who Tommy Fury fights next. Who do you think it’ll be? Let us know in the comments.
