Mike Tyson is one of the most fearsome names in the history of combat sports. However, it would appear that Jake Paul does not fear him enough to not challenge him. In the latest series of unexpected events, it was announced that the prizefighter will be going up against the legend for a boxing matchup.

Tyson has long stepped away from the ring and the last time we saw him fight was when he took on Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match in 2020. The fight ended in an infamous split draw and since then, Tyson hasn’t fought again. Now, he’s going to go up against a much younger boxer and UFC icon Henry Cejudo has things to share about his mentality.

Mike Tyson and his punching power is well known even to those who do not share a love for boxing. Tyson dominated the heavyweight scene back in his time collecting a record of 50 wins, 6 losses, and 2 no-contests. Out of his 50 wins, 44 came via knockouts.

Now, Tyson is 57 years old but some things just never change. As soon as the fight was announced, training footage of Tyson viciously going at it in sparring started surfacing. The way he moves is still as ferocious as ever before and perhaps Henry Cejudo knows why.

“. . . this dude’s disciplined dude he’s almost like us,” Cejudo told his co-host Kamaru Usman on Pound-4-Pound with Kamaru & Henry podcast, “you know he gets moody when he’s in fight camp he stops he stops smoking or he doesn’t smoke that much, you know he starts to eat clean, he runs every day five in the morning . . .”

Clearly, even a 57-year-old Mike Tyson is still as motivated as he ever was. However, he is going up against Jake Paul who is only 27 years old. Paul is relatively new in his boxing career but he’s good at taking names and has even defeated some big boxers. So what could happen next?
