Former UFC and current BKFC star Mike Perry has had only one professional boxing match so far, and that was during his initial days as a professional combat sports athlete. Jake Paul will be his second, and ahead of his fight against the YouTuber-turned-boxer, ‘Platinum’ has already laid out his plans for his third possible boxing match. But who could it be? Well, it’s a bonafide legend in the sport.

Mike Perry immediately stepped in to fill Mike Tyson‘s shoes when the icon suffered a medical emergency ahead of his return against Jake Paul. ‘Platinum’ has his eyes on not only handing ‘The Problem Child’ his second pro-boxing defeat but also taking away his Netflix fight deal against Tyson.

With the fight coming up this weekend, Mike Perry revealed that there is a reason he chose to fight Jake Paul. Of course, there have been talks about how fighting ‘The Problem’ is not a bad financial decision, but the BKFC star has his eyes on making real money, and by real money, he meant taking the fight against Mike Tyson away from him. With Netflix’s involvement, Perry believes there is a big possibility of him making some serious bank.

While speaking to Demetrious Johnson on his podcast, Mike Perry insinuated, “I was gonna say you know, this Netflix deal with Mike Tyson, I mean, I feel like I knock Jake out and they’ll be like, ‘Hey, do you wanna fight Mike instead?'” Perry is even willing to lay himself out there for Mike Tyson to make the 58-year-old legend look good if that’s what it meant for him to get a big paycheck.

“I’ll go in there and let him punch on me a little bit, man. It might be painful but, you know, I’ll try to give him a good old body shot,” Mike Perry further stated. However, on a serious note, the undefeated bare-knuckle star believes that him replacing Jake Paul to fight a combat sports legend like Mike Tyson would be a much better watch for the fans than a YouTuber like Jake Paul.

“Fighting Mike would be cool, man. If I could steal this whole thing from Jake and just it’d be me and Mike Tyson, it would just be more fitting,” Mike Perry added. Meanwhile, there have been doubts about Mike Tyson ever making his return after the recent medical issue, and critics can’t seem to take enough shots at Jake Paul for taking that fight. Well, the Youtuber-turned-boxer clapped back on those criticisms in a recent interview.

Paul aims at critics for questioning his decision to fight Tyson

Jake Paul certainly isn’t happy with the age issue being brought up when he decided to fight Mike Tyson. Some people think it’s a horrible idea, but the YouTuber-turned-boxer insists on saying the same things to Mike Tyson. When they had the first press conference back in May, things got heated when a fan apparently annoyed Tyson by asking him about the age difference.

“I view it as, say it to Mike Tyson ’s face and see what he does to you. The one reporter that who was discrediting him, he was about to jump over the press conference table and beat the dude’s ass. We aren’t Mike Tyson’s dad. We don’t control Mike Tyson. He’s his own boss,” Jake Paul stated on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’.
