Mike Perry made it to the headlines following his KO win against Thiago Alves at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship‘s KnuckleMania 4. It took the ‘Platinum’ only 60 seconds to do a TKO and his performance left many impressed, including the “Mighty” Demetrious Johnson. The 37-year-old was rooting for Perry all the way, and he also revealed a huge secret while gushing about his chosen fighter. 

Perry is the current face of the promotion and, as per Johnson, the BKFC has been paying the 32-year-old extremely well; much more than the UFC even did.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Johnson revealed, Mike Perry earned the biggest payday of BKFC with  $600,000. He mentioned in his video, As always, I’m going to keep rooting for the man [Mike Perry]. He keeps on finishing everybody I don’t know who they are going to give him. I mean, the man made $600,000 on his fight plus per view points so I know he is making more money than the f***ing champions in the UFC .”

Johnson further compared Perry’s pay-out with the champions of the UFC as he mentioned how Alexandre Pantoja, UFC Flyweight Champion, who is all set to play against Steve Erceg in UFC 301, might have received $350,000, half of what Perry got. It has been two years since Perry left the UFC. When he fought with Eddie Alvarez last year, he earned almost one millionIt must be noted that Perry fought 15 fights in UFC and won a total of 1.3 million, combining all those fights. He is earning more in BKFC.

However, even if there is a disparity in payment between UFC and BKFC, this time Dana White gave out huge bonuses in UFC 300.

The UFC CEO raised the post-fight bill from $50000 to $300000 during the pre-fight press conference. 26 fighters on the card seemed very happy about the news and even Conor McGregor, and Michael Chandler who were not even on the card, felt delighted by the President’s decision. The increased payouts also made Chandler reach out to White and ask him for an increased payout for UFC 303.

During an interview with Andy Frisella, Chandler praised White’s decision saying, “I asked for I think like 30% more you know I like Dana what’s holding you back from you know 30% more he’s like ‘You know what kid? F*** it. Done.’ And I was just like… that’s how Dana talks right, yeah?”
