Conor McGregor has been calling out many fighters for a while now. While he was slated to fight Michael Chandler in his comeback bout, his callouts created a doubt whether the fight would happen at all. However, ‘The Notorious’ revealed that he does have a plan to fight ‘Iron’ in December and Chandler seems to have no problems with that.

Conor McGregor attended the recent boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Robert Helenius. Joshua defeated his opponent with a brutal knockout victory. Moreover, McGregor had a lot of praise for the 26-3 boxer heading into the fight and even celebrated the win by making Joshua take a sip of his Forged Irish Stout drink. But the breaking news came when the Irishman said that he’s indeed going to fight Michael Chandler this year. Let’s see what ‘Iron’ had to say about it.

While Conor McGregor was sitting among the crowd during Anthony Joshua’s fight, an interviewer from ‘TalkSport’ asked when he plans to fight next. ‘The Notorious’ said, “December, [Michael] Chandler. I have to [fight him].” Since the fight was already planned months ago, McGregor stated that he had to fight Chandler.

It seems like Michael Chandler has no problems with the December timeline. Hearing what McGregor had to say, ‘Iron’ took to social media and took the chance to say that he was ready to fight the former UFC double champion. Chandler wrote, “December sounds perfect to me…” However, that’s not the only fight McGregor’s gunning for. He has a couple more fights in mind.

‘The Notorious’ is also aiming for the BMF title and a highly anticipated trilogy fight against Nate Diaz

Conor McGregor looks to have planned out his next few fights. After confirming his fight against Chandler, he also stated that he plans to fight Justin Gaethje for the BMF title. The duo had already had a verbal agreement for the fight, and we might just get to see them fight for the strap in the future. McGregor said, “[After Chandler] and then Gaethje [for] BMF [title].”

There is no doubt McGregor’s idea to fight in December will surprise many. It is particularly due to the fact that has not faced any drug testing under the UFC’s anti-doping program this year. If McGregor is indeed scheduled to fight in December, then the UFC would have to provide him with the same dispensation as Brock Lesnar, so that he may bypass the mandatory six months of testing. We shall await further developments regarding the Irishman in the near future.
