Since the fight was announced, the age difference between the two fighters has been a major talking point. Jake Paul is currently in his athletic prime and has proven to be a formidable opponent with victories over several former UFC champions under his belt. Yet, his last outing proved to be his most impressive as he sent Mike Perry to the shadow realm, who had been undefeated in his last five fights. However, his next opponent is none other than “Iron” Mike Tyson, the juggernaut who once delivered brutal knockouts for fun. But Tyson is well past his prime and far from the fighter he once was.
In a recent interview with Tim Welch, Perry shared his thoughts on the upcoming clash, analyzing both fighters’ strengths and weaknesses. Perry himself had little time to prepare for his fight against Paul, as he stepped in as a last-minute replacement. In contrast, Tyson has been dedicating himself to an intense training camp, and from the training videos, he looks impressively sharp.
All this forced Perry to pick the 58-year-old as his favorite when he was given the option to bet $100K on the fight. While speaking to Welch, the BKFC fighter, “That’s so tough dude. Cuz Jake’s good. They are not three-minute rounds. They’re two-minute rounds. You know is Mike Tyson gonna let him punch himself out a little? Jake punches himself out a little bit because he has a better chance of defense. His defense is obviously better you know and we gotta think about that too. I’m rooting for Mike Tyson I think Mike Tyson looks incredible. He sounds really smart. He sounds like his mind is on the right path as far as winning a fight goes.”

One of the most anticipated matchups of the year is the upcoming heavyweight clash at UFC 309, where reigning champion Jon Jones will take on Stipe Miocic at the iconic Madison Square Garden. But interestingly, both fighters seem just as captivated by another major bout on the horizon: the boxing showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. ‘Bones’ recently expressed his admiration for Paul while speaking with Geoffrey Woo, showing genuine appreciation for the former social media star’s rise in the fight world.

Beaming from Jones’ support, Paul replied, “I’m gonna get Tyson, and then you’re gonna get Stipe the next day.”
