Javier Mendez talks about the possibility of Jake Paul training with the American Kickboxing Academy
Since he announced his MMA venture, Jake Paul has garnered interest from former UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson and ‘El Cucuy’ has offered to coach him. The ‘Problem Child’ also mentioned training with the American Kickboxing Academy. ‘The Schmo’ asked Mendez if Paul had consulted him for training. Mendez said, “I don’t know, he never asked. He mentioned it on social media, but he’s never asked us, so I don’t know. There is a routine we go through to get accepted. They have to be through the coaches and fighters. If there’s any particular fighter in our camp that doesn’t want disruption from that individual, then he won’t get allowed in.”
