We are fast approaching the professional boxing debut of the former UFC star Nate Diaz as he takes on Jake Paul. However, before the fight takes place this weekend, the Stockton native stopped by for an interview on ‘Full Send’ podcast. Diaz made some unusual claims about ‘The Problem Child’ while talking about his past fights against a few ex-UFC stars.

Nate Diaz and Jake Paul will go to war in a 10-round contest this weekend. It is also the first time that the YouTuber-turned-boxer will fight a 10-rounder. Things got really heated up during the recent press conference as a huge brawl broke out. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old MMA icon gave his opinion about Paul regarding his boxing career so far.

Nate Diaz analyses Jake Paul’s boxing matches against UFC stars

‘The Problem Child’ is considerably bigger than his opponent Nate Diaz. Jake Paul has mostly fought around the 185lbs to 200lbs weight class. Meanwhile, Diaz has fought mostly in the 155 lbs to 170 lbs category. The Stockton native mentioned during the podcast that Paul is big and can hit really hard. He said, “He’s hella big and he hits hella hard.”

Furthermore, the 38-year-old MMA icon seems to be impressed with the YouTuber-turned-boxer who was able to knock out Ben Askren and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Diaz even mentioned that Jake Paul was one of the few fighters who was able to knock down UFC Hall of Famer Anderson Silva.

“He knocked out f***ing all the ex-welterweight champions and sh*t and fought Anderson Silva and knocked him down,” said the Stockton nativeBut he believes there is a reason behind Paul’s success.

As he gears up for his fight this weekend, Nate Diaz made some unusual claims regarding ‘The Problem Child’. He believes that Jake Paul might be on steroids, and that’s what excites him in fighting former MMA stars. Diaz said, “He’s a pumped up, little juiced out and he’s ready-to-go-ass little motherf***er.”

Nate Diaz also understands that things could go wrong for him inside the squared circle. Keeping in mind what happened to Paul’s former MMA opponents, The 38-year-old hopes that he doesn’t get knocked out. As such, he has a lot of pressure going into the fight. Diaz further added, “I gotta not get my a** whooped. Pressure’s on.”

We can certainly agree that Jake Paul has made a name for himself in boxing. Similarly, a fight against an MMA icon as big as Nate Diaz is a big addition to his resume.
