For fighters, nutrition is a cornerstone of their lifestyles. This means, maintaining a generally strict regimen with food that’s not necessarily “fun.” But when they do get these windows to eat whatever they want, like say, after a fight or when they aren’t in camp, you be sure that they make the most of those moments. Remember Khabib Nurmagomedov’s “Burgers, steaks and Coca Cola with ice?” Or even Alexander Volkanovski who spends a healthy amount of time making food content. Fighting and good food go hand-in-hand, and featherweight Josh Emmett is all here for it.
The #4-ranked featherweight contender is quite the foodie and even owns a series of restaurants with his wife Helen. ‘CC0’ recently uploaded a video to is Instagram account, of him participating in a rapid-fire interview with the camp he represents, Team Alpha Male. In the video titled, “#EmmettVSFood: Pre-Weigh In Rapid Fire Edition 🤤🍗🫠.”, the self-proclaimed foodie was given a choice—between giving up desserts forever, or facing a prime Mike Tyson. And what was his response? Most would probably forgo losing their teeth to sweet treats, than to Mike Tyson. Not Josh Emmett.
Emmett would rather tread the path of Jake Paul—except if this was the late 80s instead of the present day—than give up desserts for the rest of his life. He replied, “Would I rather fight a prime Mike Tyson or give up dessert for the rest of my life? Oh, that’s such a tough one. I’m definitely fighting a prime Mike Tyson.”

Josh Emmett gets confused choosing his favorite food
Back in 2020, Emmett appeared in an interview with the famed MMA reporter Alex Behunin. During the interview, Behunin, in a rapid-fire moment, asked the featherweight contender about his favorite food. But the question seemed to trouble Emmett like a parent being asked to pick their favorite child.
He replied, “Everything. I love food. So, it’s like I don’t know if I could pick one. That’s like, I want to say passion of mine, but it kind of is, like I love to eat, like good food. So, I honestly don’t know what my favorite food is, because, no, no, it’s hard. I’ll say somewhere between my, you know, Mexican, Asian, Italian. I don’t know, man. That’s a tough one for me.”

But that seemed to have changed now. In the rapid-fire questionnaire during the pre-weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 105, one of the questions asked ‘CC0’ to name one cheat meal that he’d have to eat for the rest of his career. And Emmett selected Mexican food right away. So will Emmett be feasting on carne asadas and chilaquiles after his UFC on ESPN 65 fight?
