Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are set to fight inside the square this Saturday but the fans got a unique and pretty bloody teaser even before the bout! A hotel in Riyadh saw immense chaos as a fight broke out between Tyson Fury’s father, John Fury, and Stanislav Stepchuk, who is accompanying Usyk for the upcoming fight. This event was captured on video and the father of the boxing star had a heated quarrel with Stepchuk but was separated by security. However, the fight was not over yet as he proceeded to headbutt another person from Usyk’s entourage, which left him bleeding from the forehead.
All of this was captured on camera and, of course, it did not go unnoticed by Chael Sonnen. The former light heavyweight fighter saw the video and pinpointed a teeny tiny glitch. According to him, the head might have been fake, but why?

While discussing the incident where Tyson Fury was not present, Chael Sonnen pointed out via his YouTube channel that the video was edited and cut many times. He even praised John Fury for being intelligent and calculating when reading “the room.” However, he also expressed his doubts about the authenticity of the headbutt. Sonnen said, “It had three different edit cuts. I mean, for example, when John headbutts the bottom, you’ve got the shot. Put it out, right?”
Sonnen mentioned that it was a non-sanctioned environment because it was inside a hotel, and yet the main part of the headbutting was not put out. Uncle Chael added, “It is the holy grail, but they don’t put it out. They edit it together with a later clip that then shows John, and he is bleeding. Forcing you to assume he is bleeding due to the headbutt that he threw that person. But to prove it, all you have to do is just keep the tape rolling.”
He mentioned his doubts and said that the headbutt did not happen. According to the UFC legend, the person who put the video out wanted fans to believe that there was a headbutt as Fury was bleeding, but the action of the headbutting was not shown. This was odd to Sonnen, and he declared his verdict, “I just think that’s weird.”
Now, Sonnen was not the only one shocked by this video, as even Conor McGregor reacted to it.

Conor McGregor’s hilarious reaction to John Fury’s headbutt
The headbutt video caught the attention of former double-weight class fighter McGregor, who is coming back for UFC 303. He shared this incident on his Instagram and added a laughing emoji along with the video. Tyson Fury was not there during the incident as he was giving an interview. When he got to know about this, he laughed it off, saying, “They do what they do. I’ve seen worse than a cut on the head.”
However, there were no legal charges made against John Fury, but Team Usyk does want a public apology. Team Usyk initially thought that Stepchuk was the one at fault but after close speculation of the video, it was understood that Fury Sr. started the fight, so now the team is demanding an apology.

Meanwhile, Fury Sr was in no mood to oblige and said, “They were disrespecting my son, the best-ever heavyweight, to wear a pair of boxing gloves. Coming out with all that rubbish in my face, trying to be clever.” The fight on Saturday seems to be more heated now that the teams and families have gotten involved.
