Tyson Fury won a decision win over Francis Ngannou and the world went up in flames. This probably had to do with the way Ngannou outperformed Fury inside the ring. Even after being elbowed in the face in a boxing match, Francis Ngannou held fast to his gloves. The reward? Big words and an outlandish loss.

Even Joe Rogan didn’t believe it when the MMA fighter didn’t pick up the win against ‘The Gypsy King’. Fans and insiders have long accused boxing of being a dogmatic sport. A lot of terrible things may go on behind the scenes that obstruct things inside the ring. Was this why Ngannou lost? Joe Rogan had a lot to say.

On a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan hosted billionaire and cyber truck enthusiast Elon Musk. And Rogan did hold it back while speaking about Fury vs. Ngannou.

The podcaster felt that the French-Cameroonian phenom had been robbed. In fact, Rogan promised that most people who understood the sport agreed with him. Fury wasn’t fined points for his illegal elbow strike. Ngannou was classy enough to not object either, however, his performance was undoubtedly brilliant. Here’s what Rogan said.

“Most people, including me, thought he should’ve won the decision – including most boxers, most boxing pundits. He lost by one point on one judge’s scorecard. He won on one judge’s scorecard, and another judge, who should go to jail, had it 96-93 for Tyson Fury, which is f*cking outrageous.”

Rogan’s words might resonate with many including Ngannou. The fighter couldn’t believe how he didn’t win in a post-fight interview with ESPN. However, he accepted the loss as an honorable fighter would.

Here’s how fans reacted to Rogan’s words on the fight.

Fans react to Rogan picking Francis Ngannou over Fury

Fans of the UFC and Ngannou had nothing but respect for the fighter who took over a different sport and still did well. While many were convinced Ngannou could have won, there was a portion of the audience that just didn’t have any patience for Joe Rogan’s opinion.

“Francis KO Joe Rogan!”

“Good thing Joe Aint a jugde”

Some argued that Rogan has been wrong before.

“What say Joe Rogan is like nothing ..he say volka beat Islam and volk lost 4-1..Francis lost 7-3 clear”

Others wanted the complaining to stop.

“Stop crying and go work bro it’s hard to see a big man ceying like that just for a point”

“He lost. Get over it.”

Finally, some fans agreed with the podcaster.

“Ngannou won so much respect that night “

“I’m still going to do boxing like I never intend to just step over, do one fight and go out, that wasn’t the plan at all. Never. So the plan is still the same.” Francis Ngannou had said with little to no restrain in an interview after the fight. The fighter will most likely jump back into the cage with PFL, however, fans can expect him to be back in the ring soon too.
