Joe Rogan just crushed the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fantasy—do you agree with his harsh truth?

58-year-old Mike Tyson surprised the world when he agreed to take on Jake Paul in a highly exciting boxing clash. However, the boxing legend suffered severe health issues, forcing him to walk out of the fight. The pair will now lock horns on November 15, 2024, which has once again raised questions among his fans. One of his biggest fans is JRE host Joe Rogan, who recently sat down for a chat with Russel Crowe. While speaking to Crowe, Rogan shared his honest opinion about the upcoming boxing bout. While he is concerned about Tyson, he warned Jake Paul about one particular thing.

There are very few fighters in the history of boxing who have had the aura of Mike Tyson. The former heavyweight champion instilled fear in his opponents and seemed unbeatable in his prime. However, he is way past his prime and is facing an opponent 30 years younger than him. Despite going through some intense training sessions, many feel Tyson might just find it tough against the former social media influencer.

While speaking to Rogan on ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ episode #2191, Crowe seemed to be hoping for the best for both fighters and he was more concerned about the two not getting injured. He said, “I just hope for the both of them that it transcends this sort of circus type atmosphere that’s around it. You know but it’s a legit fight and they both do well and nobody gets hurt. ”

Rogan, who is always known to speak his mind on matters like these, had no hesitation in sharing his opinion on the thought. He said, “That would be nice but it’s probably not gonna happen.” According to the 57-year-old, both fighters will be going to war when they step inside the ring against each other.

Tyson seems fired up for the fight and Rogan warned Paul by saying, “It’s probably gonna be one of the two things. It’s either going to be Jake Paul’s going to find out that 58-year-old Mike Tyson is still a m…f ..r or we’re going to find out that 58- year-old men are 58- year-old men no matter what they look like”.

The JRE host was always critical of Tyson accepting the fight. One of his biggest reasons was the massive age difference between the two. While speaking to Crowe, he pointed out some more reasons, which make Tyson’s fight with Paul even tougher.

Have an interesting take?

27-year-old Jake Paul has time and again proved that he indeed has some boxing skills. In his short career, he has impressed many, including Rogan, with his speed and power. He is fresh off a victory against Mike Perry who was previously unbeaten in his last 5 fights at the BKFC. ‘The Problem Child’ dropped him thrice before finally ending the fight in the sixth. Can Tyson handle the pressure for the full fight is one of the biggest concerns for Rogan.

While speaking to Crowe, the UFC commentator said, “The thing is, can he catch a 28-year-old guy who’s a the top of his career, who’s winning legitimate boxing matches?” In boxing, age plays a massive role and the ability to take on hard punches slowly fades away. Talking about Paul, he has knocked out some former UFC fighters which the JRE host brought to light in his #2191 episode.

Rogan has time and again shown his appreciation for Paul and said, “I mean, he’s beating former UFC world champions like Tyron Woodley, you know. He had that very good fight with Tommy Fury, who’s a legitimate boxer, you know, which was a very good fight, you know. He’s a real fighter. He can fight,”.

Despite showing his concerns for Tyson, Rogan further pointed out that Paul was no match for ‘Iron’ during his prime. Can Mike Tyson surprise the world and beat Jake Paul in their upcoming clash? Let us know your thoughts about it in the comments below.
