People do not seem happy with Terence Crawford, but why? Terence Crawford kept his spark alive by winning the WBA junior middleweight title after defeating Israil Madrimov on Saturday night. He is already a boxing champion, and he has proved as to why he is among the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world. However, there is a catch because the decision was highly debatable. Therefore, many fans expressed their disbelief and disappointment at the scores, with some even showing their disbelief in Joe Rogan

The UFC commentator seemed highly impressed by his friend Crawford’s performance in the game as he took to his official Instagram handle to hail the champion. Rogan wrote, “Massive shoutout to @tbudcrawford for putting on a masterclass tonight! 4 division world champion and one of the best to ever do it!” Notably, with his win, the 36-year-old became the four-division champion. He became the undisputed welterweight champion in July 2023 by defeating Errol Spence Jr. while also holding titles at super lightweight and lightweight division.

Despite the consecutive commendable performances dished out by the boxer, the fans did not seem very enthusiastic about the result of his latest clash. The scorecards of 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113 were met with much criticism, as many viewers believed that Madrimov was a strong opponent and deserved to win the bout or even a draw.

Meanwhile, social media users came at Joe Rogan after seeing his Instagram post, as he failed to acknowledge the efforts of Crawford’s opponent in the game. Rogan’s appreciation for the boxer was not surprising considering he shares a great bond with Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) and even once hosted him at his podcast.

The two met during episode #145 of the JRE MMA Show and spoke at length about the narratives in combat sports. Among the plethora of topics, they also discussed wrestling and how formidable it is. When it came to boxing, however, the athlete was confident, but this time the gloves were a problem.

There was a case where Crawford objected to the Grant gloves that were worn by Israil Madrimov. Though the California commission had approved the gloves, they split at the seams after practice, which delayed warmup. “Terence Crawford objected to the Grant gloves worn by Israil Madrimov, sources told ESPN. When the California commission approved the gloves, Crawford elected to wear the same ones. They split at the seams a few minutes after Bud began working the pads, delaying his warm-up,” ESPN’s Mike Coppinger confirmed on X.

Despite the hurdles, Crawford managed to score a victory but the fans were not happy with the win as most of the followers of boxing contradicted Rogan’s feelings.

Terence Crawford defeated Madrimov in a unanimous decision at an exciting 12-round battle in BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. This has handed Crawford the 154-pound height for the first time in his career. However, fans were not happy with his win and even commented on Joe Rogan’s post. One boxing fan asked Rogan, “Did u even watch the fight?” while another said, “Idk about a masterclass.”

Crawford started his professional career in 2009 at super lightweight, and he was a favorite entering the bout. The first round started slowly, even though Crawford had a better advantage. Ultimately, he won the fight. Another fan said, “Guys relax, Joe is just high.” One follower commented, “Wasn’t a master class Joe.”

Crawford even earned the Best Boxer Award, but the fans were not happy forBud’. Eddie Hearn also expected the former to lose because he revealed that Madrimov packed one nasty punch, and if Crawford was exposed to that, he would lose. Fans agreed with Hearn who said“He is fighting the biggest puncher he’s ever faced on August 3rd… I’m telling you now, if Crawford gets hit on the chin by Israil Madrimov, he is gonna really, really know about it….”

However, he won and, taking a jibe at the close fight, a social media user mentioned, “Slow down he barely got the nod, while another commented, “Masterclass? It was a close fight, the other guy deserves his props too.” The boxer already holds multiple championships and in three different weight classes, but the recent award was not making the fans happy as one of them commented, “41st is the robbery.”
