Joe Rogan has always wished for fights that have the promise of getting interesting. And once again, he has swooped down to show his support for Ryan Garcia. Although ‘King Ry’ lost his previous fight against Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, the beloved UFC commentator believes that a well-hydrated Garcia can tackle Davis.

On the recent episode of JRE MMA Show, Rogan, along with the guest of honor, Max Holloway, hyped up Garcia’s skills, after expressing that he wished to see him fight Davis. But this isn’t the first time the podcaster stood in support of the boxer. When Garcia faced his one and only loss in the ring, Rogan defended him from the fans’ comments.

During episode #155 of JRE MMA Show, Rogan and Holloway discussed Garcia’s left hook. The speed and agility of the boxer’s left hook are indeed phenomenal. However, the talks stumbled on Davis, too. Rogan commended Devin Haney for making Garcia come down to 135 lbs, and then stamping a weight clause that prevented Garcia from rehydrating above 10 lbs.

Rogan said, “I would love to see Ryan Garcia, the one that we saw fully hydrated against Devin Haney, against Gervonta.” Although the previous weight clause was perfect for Gervonta Davis, Rogan claimed that a hydrated Garcia versus Davis would be a better matchup.

The UFC BMF chimed in and declared that it would be a problem for ‘The Tank’. Rogan corrected him by saying that it would be a problem for everybody. Without a doubt, the speed and the ability that Garcia carries has made sure his winning streak remained untainted. However, fate has a way of declaring that one must not play into the enemy’s schemes.

In a previous episode of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’, Bas Rutten and the 56-year-old podcaster discussed Garcia’s fight against Davis. Undeniably, the liver shot that sent down Garcia was one of the worst punches ever. And Rogan thought so as well. “The liver’s awful. It’s the worst,” he said. In the seventh round, Garcia had to give up, due to which the public began its criticism.

In response to the fight fans dissing Garcia for losing to someone below his weight class, Rogan said, “O My God! People were saying when Ryan Garcia went down against Tank Davis, and people saying like he quit. Like, have you ever been hit there before?”

The 25-year-old warrior wasn’t one to stay beaten. He took the fight to Haney and sent waves of shock into the world of boxing, as he defeated the WBC super lightweight champion through decision. Whether Garcia takes up the fight with Davis and avenges his loss is something only time can tell. But one thing is certain. Garcia has immense support from Rogan.
