There’s new drama unfolding in the saga of influencer boxing—because, of course there—between KSI and Dillon Danis, who were supposed to square off at the AO Arena in Manchester for MF & DAZN X Series 21: Unfinished Business. It looks like business will have to remain unfinished since their bout isn’t happening due to the YouTuber-turned-boxer pulling out. On March 21, it was announced that KSI had to pull out of the bout due to an illness. And to add insult to injury to Danis, Joe Rogan made a statement that ruffled his feathers.
“It’s so annoying, man. I was so ready, I legit f–ing cried at some point last week, man.”, KSI said about pulling out of the bout. Now Dillon Danis, amid a lawsuit brought against him by Logan Paul and his fiancé, is left without an opponent and a possible paycheck. And now, members of his world—the world of mixed martial arts are counting him out against KSI in the squared circle. Recently, in a JRE Fight Companion episode, the UFC color commentator Joe Rogan sat down with Danis’ BJJ rival Gordon Ryan, Eddie Bravo, and Brendan Schaub when they brought up KSI pulling out of his bout against Danis.
“How does KSI pull out against Dillon Danis?”, Joe Rogan asked, before adding, “Dillon’s not a boxer, KSI is a pretty good boxer. He’s legit, for that kind of guy, he’s a good boxer. Did he fight Tommy Fury or was he going to? KSI looks legit to me – he’s got hands. But Dillon is not a boxer, so it’s crazy because you would think he would need to be not even at his best to take that fight.”

Of course, the BJJ black belt under Marcelo Garcia didn’t take too kindly to the podcaster’s comments and fired back at him, responding to an article about Rogan’s comments by the outlet Bloody Elbow. Here’s what Danis posted, “Easy there, Mr. Clean… before I have to test that chin. Put some respect on my name.”

So Dillon Danis is left without an opponent, and no replacement for KSI has been announced. Basically, KSI did to Danis was what the latter did to him back when they were first supposed to meet in the ring. They were originally supposed to meet at the Wembley Stadium in London on January 14th, but just 10 days out of the bout, Danis pulled out of the bout. The reason? He wasn’t prepared due to a lack of adequate coaching. So then, when KSI recently pulled out of the bout due to an illness, Dillon Danis didn’t let him hear the end of it.
What’s your perspective on:
Did KSI's illness save him from a potential upset against Danis, or was it genuine?

Dillon Danis’ reaction to KSI doing the same thing he did
The rivalry between KSI and Danis is so bitter that the latter isn’t showing any grace to the former suffering an illness. The YouTuber turned boxer said, “My body has legit just given up… I’m coughing up greenish-yellow s*** all the time.” Without an ounce of sympathy, Danis responded on social media, “I remember my first cold.”

He even called out Logan Paul, challenging him to “step up for your boyfriend who pulled out with the sniffles, and let’s save the show.” There is no love lost between Danis and KSI. Remember the whole pancake slapping fiasco on National Pancake Day when KSI decided to smack Danis with a pancake during the event’s face off. As long as there’s a rivalry, these both will go at each other, even if not in the ring.
But the real question is—will this fight ever happen? And the more important question here is, will you be interested in watching this bout if it ever comes to fruition? What are your thoughts on the matchup and the general fiasco surrounding it? Let us know in the comments down below.
