Part of what makes Nate Diaz a fan favorite is his authenticity. The Stockton gangster is always unapologetically himself. His attitude and the way he carries himself have elevated him to a cult status among fight fans. However, his ways are not everyone’s cup of tea. His next opponent, Jake Paul, found that out the hard way during their recent press conference.

Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will face each other in the squared circle on August 5. The 8-round catchweight bout will go down at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The pair came face to face at a press conference in Dallas on May 9th to officially kick things off.

The two fighters had their own little back-and-forth during the press conference. Towards the end of the show, Diaz did something typical of his character that left Paul with his head in his hands.

Nate Diaz leaves Jake Paul dumbstruck at the press conference

Toward the end of the press conference, as released by ‘The MacLife’, Nate Diaz got up and left with his entourage, leaving the viewers and Jake Paul confused. Paul was halfway through answering a question when Diaz got up and left. He had to interject his answer to ask the press conference host Ariel Helwani if Diaz was leaving.

Helwani’s answer left Paul at a loss for words. The MMA journalist told Paul that Diaz was simply leaving for a bathroom break. He clarified that Diaz said he would be back in a moment. Paul, however, was in disbelief at the casual exit that Diaz pulled in the middle of the event.

“Jesus Christ. I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Paul before resuming his answer to a question from the media. Meanwhile, Diaz was out of the scene, unbothered by what was happening on stage behind him.

The Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz bout is expected to be an entertaining affair with a lot of eyes watching. Diaz making the press conference unintentionally funny is the last thing anyone could have expected.
