Former MMA fighters Dan Hardy and Sean O’Connell discussed Jake Paul’s future after Tommy Fury loss. They specifically focused on his career in the boxing ring despite Jake Paul signing for the Professional Fighters League.
Dan Hardy said, “You know that’s a good question. I feel the obvious one of course is to go after Nate Diaz because that would be Mega books. I think people would tune into that regardless of whether they have watched a Jake Paul fight before or not. I think that would be a real game-changer. Especially coz you know the, character and the intensity that Nate Diaz brings.”
He also added that a rematch with Tommy Fury is unlikely as Fury will not be interested in such a fight immediately.
Dan Hardy also named Georges St-Pierre and Jorge Masvidal as likely prospects for Jake Paul
The former MMA fighter also spoke about Paul facing Jorge Masvidal. However, he was also quick to drop the idea owing to the contract situation of ‘Gamebred’ with the UFC.
He added, “It’s most likely somebody that is most interested, lot like, might be Masvidal but his contract situation is with the UFC now that he is retired. They might keep him locked up for a little bit. Maybe hope its GSP, that will be a fun one.”
