It seems like Dillon Danis won’t let Jake Paul go without a fight. Back in 2023, ‘El Jefe’ shared the squared ring against ‘The Problem Child’s older brother, Logan Paul. However, the fight went in favor of the WWE star after Danis got disqualified when he tried to put Logan Paul in a guillotine choke during the boxing bout. This act had security streaming into the ring, and Danis trying to resist. Needless to say, the former Bellator contender was pretty unhappy with the outcome. But he hadn’t given up hope. Now, he seems to have his eyes set on ‘The Problem Child’.

But what’s on Paul’s mind? Well, the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer wanted to fight Tommy Fury in a rematch. The first time they fought, Fury rose victorious with 2 out of 3 judges favoring him. And on March 27, 2025, Paul sent a challenge for Fury on X. The tweet read, “I’m offering Tommy Fury $3M to fight me in 2025. The number is $4M if he can legally get into the US. Let’s see who is ducking who.” But Fury wasn’t willing to do it. He claimed that he had already defeated Paul once. And $4 million was way less than what he received for winning. Fury quoted, “You brag about making $50m for fights but yet won’t pay up for the only real fight you have left. Showing your true colours my friend. Keep running scared. I’ll see you very soon…”

And soon after that, Danis swooped in to strike back at ‘The Problem Child’. He wrote, “How am I making more to fight KSI, and Jake calls himself the face of boxing?” This indeed had some frustrations from the fallout of Danis’ fight with KSI. With Logan Paul suing him, Danis truly needed the bout against KSI to bounce back in his fighting career. But did mocking Paul’s challenge do anything for Danis? We’ll have to wait for the story to unfold to find that out.

But do you know that this enmity with Paul was about to cost Danis his friendship with Conor McGregor? It’s well-known that ‘El Jefe’ and ‘The Notorious’ were once training partners. McGregor had often gone out to defend Danis during his troubled times. But this time, things were a bit different with ‘Mystic Mac’ enjoying his time with the Paul brothers during Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.

Dillon Danis reveals how Logan and Jake Paul put a dent in his friendship with Conor McGregor

Not too long ago, Danis had a conversation with Ariel Helwani. Therein, the grappling expert revealed an incident that caused him to doubt McGregor’s loyalty. He said, “I went to the gym, and the young kids in the gym were like, “Yo, your boy [ __ ], like, he’s hanging with your enemies. How do you feel about that when you had his back?” And like, everybody was just going at me, going at me.”

Watching McGregor enjoying with the Paul brothers indeed saddened Danis. Although he did admit that he might have overreacted, he couldn’t prevent things from slipping away. Thankfully, the duo resolved it as soon as possible. ‘El Jefe’ continued, “I think I kind of got in my own head, and I didn’t talk to him at the time. I said this when I was in Manchester—I said, like, you know, this shouldn’t be taken to social media. I didn’t post anything about it directly, and we should talk about it as friends, you know. And actually, we did, and it went really well. Everything’s good.”

But do you know what hurt Danis the most? It wasn’t watching his friend laughing around with his enemies. But it was because he had to watch his friend hanging out with the man who legally tried to ruin his life. He expected McGregor to understand that. After all, the Irishman was also troubled by the civil case against Nikita Hand.
