Meanwhile, YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul took the UFC president to task with a sarcastic response on the popular social media platform.

Power Slap has been on the firing line in the media with regard to the safety of the sport. Although many people hesitated to deem it a ‘proper sport’, it successfully wrapped up its first season. The UFC president even claimed that the worth of his new promotion has risen to a 9-figure sum.

Jake Paul trolls Dana White

The 53-year-old promoter took to Twitter to announce that Power Slap will be returning this Wednesday exclusively on Rumble. He shared a small video to tease the fans and express his excitement about the new season of the show. However, Jake Paul didn’t seem to share the same sentiment as Dana White and responded to the UFC president’s post with a cheeky message. He tweeted, “OMG this is so big on social media!! Haha whatever.”

Jake Paul’s beef with Dana White is well-documented, and he didn’t waste the opportunity to let his feelings known about Power Slap. He responded to his tweet as a result of the promoter’s claim that Power Slap has gained a lot of traction among fans on social media. White even dismissed the NFL, NBA, and a few other leagues when comparing them with the popularity of his slap-fighting league.

The UFC president previously claimed that Power Slap is thriving

After the end of the inaugural season, Dana White appeared in an interview claiming that his promotion is worth more than $100 million. He even mentioned that he got back the amount of $10 million which he invested in the venture very swiftly as the season commenced. In terms of viewership, White confidently stated that more people were tuning in every single episode.

The 53-year-old even went on to claim that Power Slap has surpassed the sum of all the current UFC champions’ net worth, including a rapid rise in viewership on TikTok and Instagram.

Regardless of what Dana White had to say, the first season ended with rather poor ratings. With White now securing a two-season deal on a new platform, fans will have to wait and see if the second season of Power Slap will have similar viewership to the first.
