“No,” Dana White stated a couple of weeks ago on Pardon My Take, putting an end to speculation about a potential Logan Paul vs. Conor McGregor boxing exhibition. The Irishman sparked hope for his return to combat sports last month after a four-year hiatus because of multiple setbacks. But the UFC head honcho quickly dashed those hopes, as ‘The Notorious’ remains under an exclusive UFC contract, preventing him from fighting in any other promotion.

Initial reports had suggested Dana White would play a pivotal role in making the highly anticipated fight happen. Yet, White’s rejection left fans confused, especially considering McGregor’s star power, which guarantees a successful event and a hefty payday that was reported to be a massive $250 million each for the duo involved.

Just look at the example of McGregor’s showdown with Floyd Mayweather, where White played a significant role. So what’s standing in the way now? Logan Paul’s younger brother, Jake Paul, has a theory: it’s Dana White’s personal disdain for him. ‘The Problem Child’ recently shared his thoughts on X, writing, “Dana White didn’t let Conor fight Logan because of his hatred for me? Haha. I hope this is BS. Can’t be that petty, can he?”

Could this really be the reason? While it may seem far-fetched, Dana White does have a long-standing rivalry with Jake Paul, one that became more public during the historic “one-and-done” UFC 306 last year. At the time, Jake accused White of banning him from UFC events—a claim that led Jake to attend the event in disguise, dressed as an old man, in protest.

Moreover, this feud stems from Jake’s repeated criticism of White for allegedly underpaying UFC fighters. The boxer has been vocal about his demands, calling on the UFC CEO to “just pay fighters more.” Despite this, White’s attitude toward Logan Paul has been noticeably different. He has praised Logan in the past, even referring to him as “brilliant.”

The UFC boss has also clarified that he holds no grudges against either of the Paul brothers, even commending Jake for “making big moves” in the sports world. However, the same cannot be said when it comes to McGregor as Jake lambasted White’s golden goose after the Irishman’s recent comments.

Jake Paul criticizes Conor McGregor over his “controlled” relationship with Dana White

The inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States last week in Washington, D.C., drew worldwide attention. For the sports world, a standout moment was the unexpected, friendly exchange between Jake and Logan Paul and Conor McGregor. Known for their frequent social media clashes, the trio surprisingly adopted a cordial tone during the event. However, the camaraderie didn’t last long.

Shortly after, one of Logan Paul’s vlogs went viral, showcasing a heated exchange between him and McGregor at Capitol Hill during the inauguration. In the video, the Irishman jabbed at ‘The Maverick’, saying, “You kept your mouth shut, you did,” in response to ‘The Maverick’s’ earlier criticism of McGregor for failing to push back against White’s dismissal of their rumored $500 million boxing bout.

The Irishman fired with yet another scathing jab: “You’re giving all this, ‘Dana (White) this, Dana that,’ [when] you’re fuc—g controlled by the WWE as well, bro. Don’t be giving it all this.” These remarks didn’t sit well with the younger Paul brother who took to social media to express his disgust.

He wrote, “My guy… you are a total clown. You don’t control your own career. The conductor decides what you do and don’t do, and you bow and say, ‘Thank you for the payment, sir.”
