Jake Paul invited GSP to United Fighters Association
Georges St-Pierre revealed over the weekend that he was now free from his UFC contract. He also revealed that he would not have been there at the Showtime event if he was still under contract. GSP last entered the octagon five years ago, when he fought Michael Bisping and won the UFC middleweight championship.
“I have the freedom now to do whatever I want, with whoever I want, whenever I want,” said St-Pierre. “If I wanted to [I could compete in boxing], you never say never. If it’s for a good cause, it’s well organized, who knows? I could do boxing or grappling,” said GSP about a potential return.
‘The Problem Child‘ found news of GSP’s newfound freedom rather welcoming. He took to Twitter to respond to the UFC Hall of Famer, and let him know that important work lay ahead.

Jake Paul’s win impressed GSP
Jake Paul overcame his biggest challenge to date in Anderson Silva. ‘The Problem Child’ received a lot of flake over the choice of his previous opponents, who either were over-the-hill fighters or athletes crossing over from other sports. With Silva, he got a combat sports veteran who was on a winning streak in the squared circle.
Several combat sports pros gave props to Jake Paul, including GSP. He corrected his famous catchphrase and said, “I’m extremely impressed by Jake Paul’s performance.” The former UFC two-division champion also gave his thoughts on Paul’s path to victory.

“He showcased a lot of discipline… He was not only a headhunter, he set up his head shots with a lot of good body shots as well, and he showcased a very efficient and compact defense. It was just an amazing performance.”
‘The Problem Child’ turned a lot of haters into fans with his masterful performance against Silva. Several people, including UFC president Dana White, did not expect Paul to go ahead with the Anderson Silva fight. Paul, however, took on the challenge and passed with flying colors.
