Shannon Briggs was quick to jump to the comments section and diss Jackson. He reflected on the fallout of their fight slated for June 1, 2024. After all, the cancelation of the fight created quite some chaos in the fighting community. Who doesn’t like a little spice, eh?

The former professional boxer wrote, “Cut it out. Drop out lol. We couldn’t find someone willing to put up the bread to see me do my boi filthy. I wish him luck. I’m rooting for him to win. I’ll be watching cheering him on.” And that’s why most fans were worried about Jackson’s fight against Evans.

Fight fans put Quinton Jackson as the next MMA fighter to box Jake Paul

Some fans dragged Paul into the picture. With ‘The Problem Child’s habit of fighting retired MMA stars, Jackson’s boxing venture might get him in the ring against Paul. One fan weighed in on this and commented, “Rampage, you gotta fight Jake Paul in MMA and teach him a lesson. He’s always out there disrespecting old MMA fighters.”

Well, the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer tends to call out big names and hype up a matchup before it gets canceled. That’s exactly what happened when Paul was set to land against Hasim Rahman Jr. A fan reflected on this and wrote, “This a real fight? Or a Paul ruse?” Another fan claimed that Jackson vs. Evans was a more exciting fight than Paul’s bouts. The comment read, “Still better than Jake Paul fight.”

Many fans believed the fight would fall out just like it did with Briggs. A fan weighed in on this and wrote, “Rampage you my Dawg but wasn’t you post to fight Shannon Briggs? These fights seem like they never happen smh.” One fan commented, “It’ll be canceled. Someone will back out.” Another fan expressed his doubts and quoted, “Is it actually going to happen? Or is this another one that falls through?”

A few others pointed their fingers at ‘Rampage’ Jackson at 46, planning to go up against a 45-year-old Evans. Needless to say, the fighting community wanted an action-packed match, and fighters in their mid-40s rarely have that kind of energy in them. A comment read, “I don’t need you all hurting each-other. Just let us pay for an hour of your banter back and forth and have two young dudes fight!” Another fan branded the bout as “battle of the uncs.” One more fan claimed it was “Battle of the old heads.”
