YouTube star Jake Paul will fight former UFC star Ben Askren in a boxing match on April 17. Askren, primarily known for his wrestling distinctions, will make his debut inside the squared ring against Paul. The MMA community is looking up to him to derail the Jake Paul bandwagon. So is UFC President Dana White.

The UFC President recently appeared on the Hotboxin’ podcast with Mike Tyson. White didn’t have many good things to say about Paul ahead of their upcoming fighter. Askren and him happen to share a colorful relationship historically. However, White revealed he will bet against Paul losing to Askren when they fight.

“Let’s be honest, Jake Paul is not a f*cking boxer. This guy is a f*cking YouTube Kid. I’ll f*cking bet a million dollars that he loses this f*cking fight,” said the UFC President.

This didn’t escape Paul’s attention. He responded on Instagram to White’s claims saying, “Dana Let’s double the bet up! We wire the money into escrow. $4 million total. Winner takes all. My team will be in touch to make a contract.

It will be interesting to see if White responds to Paul’s challenge. But considering the UFC President‘s outspoken nature over the years, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him hit back at Paul. Nevertheless, the saga of the boxing match is getting more interesting day by day.

Neither Askren nor Paul are boxers. Askren has been a multi-organizational MMA champion across the globe. But striking was never his strongest asset, as ‘Funky‘ relied on his world-class grappling as the go-to weapon inside the Octagon. But he is a lifelong athlete who has competed against trained killers his entire career.

Paul, on the other hand, is more experienced than Askren in boxing. But he hasn’t fought any professional fighters yet. So, his record is a bit padded. But one might claim that ‘The Problem Child‘ actually has some good skills. But whether those are enough to beat a combat veteran like Askren will be seen.
