The Sphere in Las Vegas has been a venue of intrigue. Dana White seems to love it and wanted to be the first to host a combat sports event in that $2.3 billion-worth structure. Unfortunately, that honor will be bestowed upon YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ beat the UFC CEO to host the venue’s first event, but the fans did not seem too happy about it.

The Sphere was opened to the public in September of last year, and the Irish rock band, ‘U2‘ was the first group of artists to ever perform at that venue. Dana White was also there to witness the first-ever concert at the Sphere. Thereafter, he announced to the world that he had plans to host the next UFC event on Mexican Independence Day at the 20,000 seater Sphere, but Jake Paul spoiled his plans.

Despite the UFC CEO having booked the slot for Mexican Independence Day, Jake Paul, who not only competes but also promotes fights under the Most Valuable Promotions banner, will have Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor fight in a rematch in the massive arena. This will be the first-ever sporting event in the MSG Sphere.

Is Jake Paul trying to get one up on Dana White? Fans react

After learning about the news of Jake Paul promoting the first-ever sporting event in the Sphere, the fans straight away pointed out Dana White’s plans. One fan believes that this news must have infuriated the UFC CEO.

Moreover, another fan did not seem to be too interested in the boxing match, claiming that this was not the fight they wanted for the first sporting event in that $2.3 billion structure.

Another fan believes that getting the chance to host the first sporting event at that venue was Jake Paul’s deliberate attempt to edge past Dana White.

One fan pointed out that it was a “cheap” attempt on behalf of Jake Paul.

Nevertheless, some fans still believe that Dana White could put on a much better show for the fans and viewers than ‘The Problem Child’.

Some fans are eagerly waiting for the first UFC event in the Sphere, which will be UFC 306.
