Everything indicates that the next big celebrity boxing fight, which will generate millions, will be between the renowned YouTuber and WWE superstar, Logan Paul, and the man who was once the king of MMA in the UFC, but now is better known to fans as the king of controversies, Conor McGregor. Although no details about the fight have been shared yet, just the fact that McGregor claimed that the fight would happen was enough to keep the internet buzzing about it, especially after he found himself in troubled waters due to the Dublin court verdicts.
Fans and pundits have expressed their views, both positive and negative, on the significance of the fight and the potential winner, and now Michael Bisping has also offered his brutal verdict on the same. During a live stream on his YouTube channel, ‘The Count’ claimed that he finds the proposed fight to be nothing less than a cash grab with next to no importance, with only Conor McGregor‘s reputation at stake depending on the outcome. While the possibility of the fight happening is real due to the UFC and the WWE being under TKO’s umbrella, to Bisping, the bout seems to be more about billionaire Mukesh Ambani trying to ‘sportswash’ India by organizing the match.
He said, “I was wondering why they’re doing it in India; it didn’t make sense at first. Then I looked into this Ambani guy—Mukesh Ambani or something—and yeah, he’s the ninth richest person. Maybe they’re trying to bring some eyeballs, tourism, and sportswash India.” Michael Bisping further added in the live stream that if McGregor loses the fight, it would be an embarrassing defeat for the former UFC double champion. “I don’t know, maybe it happens, maybe it doesn’t. It would be embarrassing for McGregor to lose to Logan Paul, but I’m not sure if he would. Maybe in an exhibition bout, who knows? I don’t really care, though, to be honest.”

After McGregor’s challenge to ‘The Maverick’, Paul made an appearance in the WWE press conference to present their RAW brand on Netflix. However, McGregor took the opportunity to heat things up online by claiming that the ‘newbie’ Logan Paul wouldn’t be able to beat him and would be easily knocked out by ‘The Notorious.’ Well, it might be enough to make Logan Paul agree to a fight. Even if he doesn’t, maybe Jake Paul might jump into the ring instead.

When Jake Paul challenged Conor McGregor
Jake Paul’s trajectory in boxing is standing out as something unique. With confrontations against veterans, he stood out with what looked like impressive performances. The recent win over Mike Tyson has become a milestone in his career, although a controversial one due to the obvious age gap. But now, at 27, ‘The Problem Child’ is pursuing even more ambitious goals, such as a possible confrontation against Conor McGregor.
Jake Paul’s recent tease has been for a no-weight-limit MMA fight against Conor McGregor. Facing McGregor in MMA promises to be more than a fight: it will be a large-scale media spectacle, one that the Irishman also seeks. Taking to his X, the YouTuber-turned-boxer wrote, “Dear Conor, I know you told my team you would fight me at 170 lbs. That’s never happening. But let’s run it in MMA. No weight class. Just like how it used to be done. But you won’t.”

However, McGregor decided to poke fun at Jake Paul by tweeting a picture of 82-year-old U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell with the caption, “Nakisa already rang me, lad; it’s this guy next for you. Good luck, pal.” But now if Logan Paul refuses to fight the Irishman for some reason, Conor McGregor might actually accept the challenge and finally make his Octagon return.
