Most UFC fans are aware of the controversy related to Francis Ngannou’s UFC exit. The entire MMA community stood startled when ‘The Predator’ revealed his accusations against the UFC. But Ngannou’s current contract with the PFL has given him a lot more “leverage”, in his own words. However, the Cameroonian took a trip down memory lane in his latest appearance on Joe Rogan’s noted podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

Despite talking about other issues, the duo of Rogan and Ngannou spent a lot of time in the episode recollecting Ngannou’s experiences with the UFC. He also laid out a comparison between his UFC and PFL contracts. Apparently, he was a lot happier with the terms of his PFL paperwork than his past UFC contract.

Most UFC fans already know that Ngannou had blamed the UFC’s “dirty games” as the primary reason behind his exit. But it was far from being the only one. In his ‘JRE’ appearance, he implied that he deserved a lot more payouts than what the UFC had paid him during his tenure.

Most fans know that the UFC CEO, Dana White, had also agreed to fulfill Ngannou’s payout demands during their final attempt at renegotiations. But, ‘The Predator’ revealed that White never paid him what he deserved during his UFC tenure. It was a question from Rogan about the payouts for UFC heavyweights that had the former UFC Heavyweight king, revealing, “I don’t know. I don’t check the contract, bro, right? I know how much I was making, and sometimes it wasn’t fun”.

Apart from a lot of other discussions, Ngannou also stated how his current PFL contract guaranteed him a higher degree of “leverage”. Just a few seconds earlier than his “wasn’t fun” remarks, ‘The Predator’ also revealed how the UFC authorities put “pressure” on fighters saying things like, “You have to fight, this[is the] opportunity”. He implied his PFL contract didn’t have an oppressive nature like his previous UFC one.
