The endless wait for a Tyson Fury fight continues, yet he continues to turn heads wherever he goes. This time, he’s been caught in action with the ‘Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya. The UFC Middleweight has seemingly taken aim at the WBC champ, and mocked him with just a single-word tweet. The tweet comes as a follow-up to the recent ‘headlock’ banter that Fury played on Izzy and Alexander Volkanovski, just before an event.

Israel Adesanya mocks Tyson Fury

It all began when Fury, accompanied by his friend Jack Jenkins, joined a video chat with Alexander Volkanovski. He made some playful comments, saying he would get both Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya in a ‘headlock.’

The remark was undoubtedly lighthearted, but Adesanya had a sharp response.

Known for his quick wit and sharp tongue, the Stylebender responded back in style. After meeting with Fury at the Joseph Parker vs Faiga Opelu fight, he took to Twitter and posted a photo of himself with Fury, accompanied by a single-word caption: “Clean.” This simple yet cutting remark seemed to be aimed directly at Fury’s earlier comments during the chat.

Escalating Feud: Fury, Jones, and Adesanya’s involvement

The feud between Tyson Fury and Jon Jones has intensified pretty quickly, even more after Joe Rogan’s recent comment. During an episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ Rogan favored Jones over Fury in a locked-room fight. Fury responded to Rogan’s opinions with a profanity-laden message, which angered Jones and led to a rapid escalation and quickly contaminated social media as well. Since then, the duo has engaged in multiple social media call-outs, sparking a frenzy among fans and critics alike.

Recently, Jones took to Twitter, stating that he would defeat ‘The Gypsy King’ in one round if they fought under MMA regulations.

“Hey Tyson, it [seems] like Joe may have struck a nerve. I’ll admit there’s no one touching you in that ring right now, but let’s not let that confuse you with what would happen if you stepped foot in my cage. [So] if you ever want to put some of those questions you got going on to rest, give Dana a call. I’ll help you out.”

Fury then responded to ‘Bones’, admitting that he wasn’t interested in a fight in the octagon. But Fury didn’t just dismiss the fight altogether. Instead, he suggested Jones face him in the boxing ring, saying,

“I see Jon Jones has piped up. Jon, you’re talking about me in a cage. I’m not a cage fighter mate, I’m a boxer. The best boxer, actually. So if you want to come into a boxing ring and fight me, be my guest. Let me know. You don’t have to call anybody else, no Dana [White], nobody. You call me, cause it’s a boxing fight and I’m the boss in this game. Me. You’re a great fighter, Jon, but you’re definitely no boxer. That’s for sure.”

Now, with Adesanya in the mix, things are starting to get pretty interesting. ‘Izzy’ has his own beef with Jones that goes way back, and the pair have lashed out at each other on multiple occasions. But the exchanges have never culminated in a fight and remain just speculations. Even recently, in an interview with Fox Sports Australia, when asked about whether a fight with the New Zealander was on the cards, Jones dismissed the idea. So, it’s safe to say that as the beef between Fury and Jones shapes up, the Stylebender’s role is unclear.
