Just a few days prior to the UFC 284, things go not look great between Dana White and Islam Makhachev. The lightweight champ has been criticizing the UFC President for not promoting his main event fight enough. White, on the other hand, has fired back at Makhachev saying “he doesn’t know anything” about his fight’s promotion. Even the fans have been voicing their opinion on this. Many of them believe that Dana White is prioritizing Power Slap more than the upcoming Makhachev vs Volkanovski fight.

In between all the heat, the 24-year-old boxer Ryan Garcia has also given his opinion about Power Slap.

Ryan Garcia took to Twitter on 21st Jan 2023 to voice his disapproval of the new slap-based TV show produced by Dana White. “Power slap is a horrible idea and needs to be stopped”, Ryan Garcia wrote in his tweet. Garcia also compared boxing to Power Slap while responding to a reply by MMA fighter Gerald Harris. “We have a chance to defend they don’t it’s just stupid no need to debate”, he said.

Makhachev did not say anything about this, but he did indeed like the tweet recently. Amidst everything that has been going on between Makhachev and Dana White, it just seems even like the lightweight champion isn’t a bit impressed by Dana White’s new venture.

While some fans might also be enjoying the show, the UFC lightweight champion is definitely not one of them. However, it is unclear whether Makhachev’s disliking of the show is because of its health risks, or because of his belief that Dana White is prioritizing it more than Makhachev’s fight.
