The noted UFC icon, Conor McGregor has showcased his interest in various sports other than MMA multiple times. Whether it’s the Monaco Grand Prix or the NBA finals, McGregor has often shown up and increased the glory of numerous noted sporting events. But, McGregor really feels at home even when he visits other combat sports events apart from the UFC. A few months back, McGregor stepped into the BKFC squared circle and faced off against Mike Perry. He also got his hands on the BKFC world title and carried it inside the circle.
Although ‘Mystic Mac’ couldn’t physically be there for the recently concluded Diaz vs Paul boxing bout, he definitely had kept his eyes on the match somehow. But, it won’t be wrong to say McGregor was disappointed by the overall pace and skills showcased in the bout. He also turned back to his well-known habit of expressing himself through his tweets. After taking a few shots at his former UFC rival, Nate Diaz, McGregor gave out his take on ‘The Problem Child’ as well.

Although McGregor’s initial tweets were directed at his former opponent Diaz, the Irishman didn’t spare Jake Paul from his Twitter shots as well. However, he decided to remove all of his tweets related to this. But overall, it was apparent that he was annoyed by the lack of intensity in the bout. ‘The Notorious’ blamed both parties for this.
After bashing Diaz with words like, “Im gonna serve up your liver on a sandwich in the trilogy m8”. The ’34-year-old’ took aim at ‘The Problem Child’ and derided him in the same tweet calling him a “r*tard” and “absolute garbage”.
But, McGregor further intensified his attacks on Paul as he tweeted a snap of him and labeled him, “Jake the snake roberts” who is actually a famed WWE personality. McGregor also started a trend for this entire boxing match calling it “#boxingforretards” and another one against Paul calling him, “#jakepaulisabaldywigger”.
However, most combat sports fans also know that Jake Paul is called the ‘Problem Child’ for a reason. He also carries a pretty chaotic persona and has been into altercations even with UFC fighters like Daniel Cormier. Probably nobody expected Paul to take this bashing from McGregor quietly.
Floyd toyed you up – Jake Paul responds telling McGregor to enter rehab
Paul’s action didn’t contradict the expectations of the fans. He was quick to notice McGregor’s insulting words and took out his own targeted McGregor with his own Twitter gun. Paul fired a single tweet at McGregor reminding him of his defeats one of which was in boxing as well against the famed Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. Paul’s tweet partially read, “Buddy you need to get into rehab and then USADA. Until then shut the f**k up. Floyd toyed with you. Dustin chinned you up. Khabib and Nate choked you out.”
Buddy you need to get into rehab and then USADA. Until then shut the fuck up. Floyd toyed with you. Dustin chinned you up. Khabib and Nate choked you out. And I would put you in the coffin for good even as juiced up as you are. https://t.co/uYyccvulwj

Apparently, Paul was also aware of McGregor’s USADA deadline failure. A couple of months back, USADA announced McGregor hadn’t submitted his samples within their deadline of 16 June. This has also put his UFC return bout against Michael Chandler in jeopardy. Paul probably had knowledge about McGregor’s alleged drug usage as well.
Clearly, Paul implied that McGregor needs to be worrying about something else first. He needs to get cleared by the USADA to compete inside the octagon and get his Chandler bout completed. However, the sting in the latter words in Paul’s tweet was also pretty evident.
Paul references McGregor’s recent alleged actions at the NBA Finals
Looking at Paul’s revengeful persona, some fans might have expected him to continue the war even after his first tweet. Well, Paul’s response truly might have overwhelmed a number of them. After McGregor replied to his initial tweet stating, “Shut up you little baldy wigger hahaha”, Paul declared a war against McGregor and fired several tweets with severe digs for McGregor. This was his first one:

After this, Paul referenced McGregor’s alleged misconduct while he visited the NBA finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat. Apart from punching the Miami Heat mascot too hard, some also accused McGregor of committing an untoward act with a woman. Paul took up this reference to fire another shot at him. This time he also accused McGregor of being a drug addict.
Cocaine Conor coming for me? Say no to drugs kids or you may end up in a bathroom with a woman who isn’t your wife. https://t.co/uarTfY013P

Next, he insulted McGregor with a snap from UFC 257 when he got knocked out by Dustin Poirier. Paul also followed it with an appreciation for McGregor when he chose to delete his previously insulting tweets.
Good boy deleting your tweets Conny. Hit me once you get out of rehab or jail.
— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) August 6, 2023
He finally ended this saga of insults with a detailed description of his opinion about McGregor in his last tweet. However, the ‘Problem Child’ kept up his insulting tone in this tweet as well.

I see people bent out of shape bc McGregor called me a “wigger”. It’s the fight game. I don’t give a fuck about what a coked out, juiced up, shitty cheap whisky drinking fool says & then deletes. Well, this bitter feud between the two might have excited a number of fans. But, we might say that it was nothing unnatural. A large chunk of combat sports followers are aware that McGregor and Paul are probably two of the most brash and nonchalant personas in the current world of combat sports. Hence, when one fires at the other, we can’t expect him to stay quiet.
