Conor McGregor is finally fighting once again, although not in the UFC. In one of the most unexpected announcements ever, Conor McGregor dismissed any and all rumors related to a potential fight against Ilia Topuria, and instead, he’s gearing up for a boxing match against Logan Paul. However, the people behind the whole event, the Ambani family, had someone else in mind.
The Ambani family is the richest in India, and according to Forbes Magazine, the head of the family, Mukesh Ambani, is the ninth richest person in the world. He’s the only person on the top 10 list who’s not American. So yes, they’re a pretty big, and famous MMA journalist Ariel Helwani spelled that out recently on his YouTube channel. “The patriarch of the family, Mukesh Ambani, his net worth is estimated around $120 billion… so I’m just trying to give you some insight into how powerful this family is,” the 42-year-old stated.
Moreover, Ariel Helwani made a stunning revelation about Conor McGregor’s fight against Logan Paul. His sources claim that Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, who had a highly publicized $600 million wedding just a few months ago, wanted to hold a sporting mega event just like what’s happening in Saudi Arabia. To do that, Helwani claims Logan Paul wasn’t the first choice to pair Conor McGregor with because Ambani’s son wanted to secure Jake Paul’s signature on the contract, which, of course, didn’t come to fruition. ‘El Gallo’ even went public about it on X shortly after McGregor’s announcement.

“Jake Paul-Mike Tyson happens around a month ago, the son [of Ambani] says, ‘I want something like this. I want to do something like this. I want something big. They’re doing it in Saudi Arabia, they’re doing it all over the place. I want something in India,'” Ariel Helwani added. “My understanding was the first choice is – ‘We want Jake Paul. We want to be in the Jake Paul business. We want a Jake Paul fight here in India.’ And so, the top choice was Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor… and that’s why Jake Paul tweeted once this all came out.”
Even though it’s not Jake Paul, his brother Logan is still a top draw given that he’s one of the most talked-about social media figures on the planet, who has grown his stocks as a WWE superstar as well. But what does it take to earn a fight against his younger brother? Well, Jake has come clean about it on social media.

Jake Paul’s only condition for a fight against Conor McGregor, and it involves Dana White
The YouTuber-turned-boxer claims that there is one way that he will consider fighting Conor McGregor, in a boxing match or in an MMA fight, and yes, it will be a professional bout. His condition states that Conor McGregor’s employer, Dana White, should be in agreement with the terms and demands his involvement in this boxing match as well. “The only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing / mma fight is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions,” Jake Paul tweeted.
He further took a dig at Conor McGregor, who’s been inactive for over three and a half years, claiming that he needs the Paul brothers more than they need the Irishman. “Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants,” Jake Paul added. Almost a year ago, there were reports that Dana White and the YouTuber-turned-boxer weren’t on good terms, and if you’re wondering why, it’s because the UFC CEO wasn’t really a big fan of Paul’s fights. He even termed those fights as “gimmick” fights. But recently, after UFC 306, when the 27-year-old sneaked to watch his friend-cum-business partner Sean O’Malley fight, White claimed that he had no problems with Paul at all.
