Dillon Danis is finally back for another fight—but in boxing once again. And guess what? People are abuzz about this boxing match since he’s taking on the YouTube superstar, KSI at MF & DAZN: X Series 21. And the drama has already begun with the YouTuber slapping the BJJ specialist during their face-off. Before that, both fighters recently had their first presser ahead of their March 29th matchup and the 31-year-old social media influencer appeared to make some wild claims about his fighting prowess, with a jibe at Alex Pereira.

It’s been a long time coming for KSI and Dillon Danis, as their fight has been rescheduled after the latter pulled out of the initial encounter in 2023. But as we know, controversy follows these two fighters whenever they’re promoting a matchup, and the slap summed it all. However, nobody saw it coming when Alex Pereira joined the conversation.

As we all know, Dillon Danis has trained with the UFC light heavyweight champion. He mentioned that he had done the same ahead of his boxing match at the end of March, during the press conference, but how do you think KSI responded? Well, he acted falsely scared of Alex Pereira. It was then that Danis dropped the question, “You think you hit harder than him [Pereira]?” He tried to see if KSI thought he was better than the scary Brazilian UFC star, and Danis succeeded, as the YouTuber claimed, “Yes.”

But thereafter, KSI backtracked on his claim by claiming that he’ll only know how heavy Alex Pereira’s punches are when he witnesses him in action in person. “I hit harder than Logan. I hit harder than most fighters. I don’t know if I hit harder than Pereira. I don’t know how hard he hits,” the YouTuber added.

Apart from KSI’s claims, fans wonder if training with Alex Pereira has helped Dillon Danis get sharper at the one thing he finds it hard in fighting—striking. Well, it appears that Conor McGregor‘s former sparring partner is pretty confident about how he has prepared for KSI.

Dillon Danis aims to follow what he’s learned with Alex Pereira

Dillon Danis has been losing his grip on the fighting side of things, given that he hasn’t competed in MMA for years and his last boxing match was a travesty. But training with Alex Pereira ahead of his second boxing match has helped him forge a game plan. Meanwhile, Danis also backed ‘Poatan’ to beat Magomed Ankalaev this weekend at UFC 313.

“I like to be in the pocket and throw. That’s how me and Pereira have been sparring if you watch the footage,” said Dillon Danis. “Alex is a beast, he’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever felt in my whole life. So I’m excited to see him f***ing knock out Ankalaev…  So Alex has shown me a lot and he’s just a f***ing animal who I’m happy to train with.”
