In his recent YouTube video, Chael Sonnen addressed these rumors by providing some clarity on what has been happening.

I believe Dana himself could put this fight on [Jones vs. Fury]… because it’s got Team Fury in a very precarious position. They thought when they came and puffed up… I think Joe Rogan started this with Tyson and I think they were just kind of having a friendly back and forth. I don’t know that this was actually a thing but it sure has become one… right?” said Sonnen, addressing that the potential fight is a possibility and that it needs to be made without delay.

However, ever since the dream super-fight has seen a ray of hope of becoming a reality, Tyson Fury and his team have apparently started pointing out challenges associated with making it happen.

Where Tyson’s in a tough position is when he came out and said that he would fight John Jones – and he’ll do MMA and this guy’ll box and we’ll do this and you’ll never – you’ll never come and fight me here Jon Jones – you will stand up with the QUee’s Berets and I’ll fight you anytime – and Jon said okay I’ll do that.” reported Sonnen, implying that Fury was not ready for Jones to agree to his conditions.

From Rogan to Fury to Jones – How Joe Rogan is at the Epicenter of Jones vs. Fury
