In a recent development, Conor McGregor commented on the upcoming KSI vs. Tommy Fury card, stating, “I’m interested to see it, I’m looking forward to watching it. I have my eye on all of them. They’re Nixers to me, yeah. Side hustles, yeah.”

A few weeks ago, McGregor, at the event to promote his latest alcoholic beverage venture, took the opportunity to extend his congratulations to Joshua for his impressive victory. He also acknowledged Helenius for stepping in as a last-minute replacement fighter, urging the crowd to appreciate his performance.

However, the unexpected twist came when McGregor abruptly shifted his attention to YouTuber-turned-boxer, KSI, who was among the spectators. In a theatrical manner, McGregor taunted KSI, saying, “I know your man KSI is in the crowd, yeah? And he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So if he wants to get in here, I’ll give him a final—bareknuckle—if he wants.”

Despite McGregor’s provocative challenge, the crowd did not respond as he had perhaps anticipated, leading to an awkward moment. McGregor took a few hesitant steps back, punctuating the peculiar episode by pumping his fists in the air.

However, the practicality of a bare-knuckle showdown between McGregor and KSI remains uncertain. McGregor will first have to first confirm if he is fighting in any format this year.

Will McGregor fight KSI?

McGregor is currently bound by contractual obligations with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). But he still hasn’t confirmed his next fight for the promotion as he is ineligible to compete according to the rules set by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Authority)

When asked by the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel about his willingness to accept McGregor’s challenge following his fight with Tommy Fury next month, KSI expressed interest, remarking, “You never know. I’m interested, I am interested. I think he was off his face, honestly, but look, either way, I’m very interested.”

Adding a layer of intrigue to the situation, McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis, is set to compete against Logan Paul in the co-headliner of the KSI vs. Tommy Fury event. This raises the expectation of potential interactions between fighters and intensifies the anticipation among fans.
