In a recent interview with ‘djvlad‘, White didn’t hold back in expressing his concerns about Garcia’s footwork and boxing skills. The actor believed that Garcia wasn’t quite prepared to elevate his fighting career to the next level, explaining,
“He’s got – there’s a lot of things he’s gotta combat. I don’t know if he’s ready for the upper echelon yet.”
White openly shared his initial doubts about Garcia’s abilities based on what he had observed. Despite acknowledging Garcia’s impressive performances against opponents lacking proper footwork, White questioned the American boxer’s own footwork, saying,“…from what I’ve seen – because I mean I was late to the party with Ryan, you know, I’d see things and I’m going – ‘Oh he looks good against these guys who have no real footwork’ and I was like – ‘where’s Ryan’s footwork?'”
Though he had heard a lot about Ryan and his fight with Davis, the actor admitted that he hadn’t closely followed the details. When ‘Vlad’ brought up Garcia’s claims for a rematch with Davis, White didn’t hesitate to express his honest opinion, stating, “He wasn’t even close…” – It was clear to White that Garcia fell far short of the level required to pose a challenge to Davis, in their previous encounter.
